Please if you can everyone, please purr for my friend Kelli. The one who just lost her beautiful Maggie to FIP. She JUST lost her other kitty today as well, Aussie. She had CRF but was doing very well until now. She went downhill yesterday and was in the hospital today when they called to tell Kelli she passed away. Ugh, I have no words for how sad I am and how distraught she is. 2 babies in less than 3 weeks! No one should have to go through this pain. Thank you everyone. :((
It's so hard to know what to say to comfort her. I wish I could come up with better words than, "I'm so sorry and I can't believe this happened, and I'm here for you." I know those are good words, they just don't seem enough to me. I'm more than sad for her, this just isn't fair.
Love Alex and mommy Lisa
We is all purring for Kelli and her dear, sweet Aussie. Does Aussie have a catster page? Want to tell dear Kelli how much we care.
No sweetie, she's not on Catster. But I will be sure and show Kelli this page tomorrow when she can use these good thoughts the most. After the shock wears off. She very much appreciated everyone's purrs and support when Maggie passed and I know she will again. Thank you.
Oh dear!!! Our hearts are with Kelli and her furs right now during this sad and confusing and difficult time. How awfuls! We are so sad and hope she can find happiness soon. Thanks fur being such a loving and generous furrriend to all us kitties and furmilies not only everyday, but especially when sadness comes.
Love Kitty, Harrison, Indy and Mom
It's a tragedy. Some things we just don't get to know, like "why?" Kelli should lean on other pet owners, like us, and be gentle with herself, not pushing herself to get over it "soon". It's members of the family; it takes time.
Ask her what she would say to a friend if it happened to them. She should treat herself that way.
Many purrayers!! Luv, Tink
Is jus' NOT FAIR!!! So furry sad fur Miz Kelli.
Like Tink say be nice to yerself.
Our hearts and purrs go out to Kelli.
Sometimes you don't need to say anything. Just being there for your friend will help to support her through such a difficult time.
Mom can't imagine how sad she must be. Maybe just letting her know you (and we) are sharing in her sadness and her pain. That her kitties are free and healthy again at the bridge. Ask her if she wants to talk about them? Maybe right now it is just too hard. I know in tough times it means alot just knowing my friends will be there for me, when I am ready to talk or ready to cry or whatever. Our purrs are with you and with Kelli, love Skylar and family
Thanks everyone, for sending out your love to her. I will make sure she gets it. My mom and I are pretty sad ourselves right now. I just got done grooming Maggie for her wings when we both had to rush and get Aussie. sigh. Maggie didn't even like Aussie too much on earth, she just put up with her. Now she's showing her all kinds of love. Right now she's loving on her dog Bailey. Bailey is confused and doesn't know why everyone is leaving! Skylar she does talk about them. She talks with my mommy several times a day actually. She's good at not shutting herself away. She helped my mommy a lot when I left. She was one of mommy's first friends on the internet when I got sick.
Biggles how are you doing being at home? I hope GOOD! No more bad news, we want good news from you sweetie.
Oh no, how sad. It is hard to find the right words to say when something like that happens. How do you make sense of it? We will send out purrs and love to Kelli and her precious kitties.
Hi Gumpy, yeah that's how we feel too. She is one of the best kitty mommies we know and it's just so awful. She's already been looking at getting another Abyssinian when she's ready. But now she's got another question hanging over her head. What happened? They'll be doing a necropsy on Aussie as well. She needs to know.
Thank you sweet friends for your purrs for her. She really is a sweet and loving soul.
That is sad and awful beyond words or comprehension. Our purrs go out to Kelli.
We send her our sincere condolences, too.
We are happy to know that you are there helping those furs get wings, Alex, and we are more happy knowing that your Mom is there for Kelli, too.
Hugs to all of you.
I'll be sending her purrs.
