Thank you for fighting on this issue. We love you, Lacey's mom! Love you too Bibi!!! This is a condition that affects WAY too many kitties! Here's hoping the next couple of years bring better treatments. We have been on a raw food diet for 3 yrs now, which brought an end to my UTIs & hopefully will help keep us safe from IBD as well. Wonder why so many vets are against raw food diets? Thanks for all that you do!! They are against it because many are not educated in nutrition and don't understand that if raw is handled properly, salmonella and ecoli should not be a problem. You actually can get those just as much if not more from dry food in a bag. Plus a lot of them make their money from selling Science Diet, Eukanuba and Purina. I'm glad you're on raw Sylvester! that's not a guarantee you won't get IBD, BUT it is a great preventative for it and other conditions. You're on the best diet possible buddy! I was on Science Diet for a while and I HATED it. I love to eat, but I was leaving kibbles in my dish cause I just couldn't stand the stuff. I Love our ground chicken, just wish I got more of it....... I hope no one gets mad at me for saying this but you wouldn't believe how many kitties on a Science Diet food come down with IBD. That food is no good for pets at all!!! It's got more corn and grains than even a person should ever have in their diet. Furry interesting...if meowmy had more time, purrhaps she would feed us this type of food, too...the so called raw food that is found in the stores isn't looking like something we would want to try, and it seems over priced, too...so we keep on eating our regular food, we do not seem to have issues at this point... Thanks so much for all the information you've compiled on this! We don't do raw but only grain free wet food, no dry food. We are getting different kinds too so we are really well fed. Yes, it is more expensive but vet bills are too and our health comes first.... Alexander you said it purrfectly!! Vet bills are just as expensive as grain free food and what's better for the kitty? Vet visits that are stressful or eating the right food? Kudos my friend! Love trumps computer time! Teebo I don't understand. Hehehehe!!! im up late!! Happy Gotcha day!!!
