I know this is a busy purr day. Sally Maria is going to the bridge this afternoon, Samsara went to the ER last night, all kinds of stuff going on. You can tell there's a full moon coming! Anyways, if at all possible can you spare some purrs for my mommy? She's on her way back to the urgent care at the hospital. She woke up with so much pain this morning again that it's really more than she can stand. It's BAD. So she's off, AGAIN. She's so depressed and sick of it. I feel bad asking because there is so much going on and I know it's busy today. Even a little bit would help. Thanks so much, we'll let you know what happens.
Sendind lots of purrs your way, hope it helps a little bit. Hate to think of someone in pain. Love, Keisha
Oh no, we're thinking of her and sending lots of purrs! Tell her not to feel bad for asking for purrs - your mommy needs them.

for your Mom
big purrs for mom, from all of us
Awww thanks so much everyone! Look at all the cute get wells. So what a day my momma had. She doesn't want to complain because in the grand scheme of things, Sally Maria is going to the bridge today and her mommy has much worse pain to deal with. That emotional pain of loss is a killer! Mom can deal with her pain as bad as it is, much easier than losing one of us.
But so far anyways, not a great day here. Hopefully now that she's home it'll get better. I HOPE! There was hardly anyone there and it took 3 hours for crying out loud! Mom says it was a good thing she wasn't dieing! sheesh. So now she's on a DIFFERENT steroid, a depomedrol dose pack which actually has worked for her in the past with sinus infections so HOPEFULLY it'll work this time. It's all spasms, big time spasms! And they gave her valium to take for muscle relaxants. Right now she just cut the dose into a quarter just to get some relief, she's not going anywhere anyways so it's fine. She said she could use a little anxiety relief at this point. MOL.
She already has an appointment with her doctor on Monday so we're hoping this other stuff starts to work. It's awful, the pain is like she's got giant knives being twisted into her lower back and down her leg to her knee. She tried everything this morning, ice, moist heat, pain meds, all of it, it just kept getting worse. She's mega in debt now. Her stupid insurance didn't pay for these meds either so she had to cough up $50 which was supposed to be grocery money, sigh. Plus all the copays she'll have to shell out for the two urgent care visits, doctor visits, etc.
I'm really glad I'm a kitty and I don't need this thing called money because it sounds like nothing but a hassle. So thank you all big time for your loving purrs. Mommy graciously accepts them and holds them close to her heart. She knows they will make her feel better.
It's 80 degrees and sunny and she's kind of mad she can't go out and do anything. This is the last hurrah of summer and she feels like it's wasted. But she's home and we're here if anyone needs us!
Luv you guys!
My mom and I are so sorry your mom is in bad pain. Don't ever hesitate to ask for purrs my friend. We have an endless supply to go around. About those co-pays and prescription costs, Mom definitely understands!
Purr purr and more purrs I wish there was something we could do to help. I hope the new drugs work better for her purrs Sam
Thank you Tigger!
Thanks Sam, she's sick of taking stuff but it's really bad pain so there's no other option. She'll be going to physical therapy this week too so I hope that will help as well.
Sending our purrs too and hoping that your mum is better really soon. It all sounds really nasty but hopefully the new drugs will help. Headrubs Toby and Josie
Your poor mommy, I hope she can get better, I hope they find a solution. Chronic pain is no good. My mommy use to be dancer until she destroyed her knee and had the surgery. It still hurts when the weather changes or if the surface she's walking on is slippery she can't lock it into place as quickly as she should. It's no fun at all. We need mommies at 100% ability ready to love us forever. I hope your mommy feels better, I hope they can find something to fix her.
Hi Toby & Josie! Thank you for the purrs, mom really loves them. She believes 110% in the POTP! Cause you know when we get our motors running, we mean business! MOL.
Simone mom used to sing in a band and dance all over the stage too. I'm sure that didn't help her knees either, she was kind of a wild woman, MOL. Good thing she mostly got it all out of her system while she was younger. Notice how I said MOSTLY. MOL.
I hear River Snitched you out! MMMRRRAATTT.
RIVER SNITCHED ON ME!?!?!?! MRAT! This will NOT stand! Somebody is going to get such a smackey paw on the head...
oh how pleasant!!! The new neighbors are all outside with their kids right next to our windows and both the mom and the dad are swearing up a storm at the top of their lungs. Mom even closed the windows and we can still hear them. Nice to see how well their kids will grow up.
Moe Toes, I didn't know your mom sang in a band?! Wow!
I'm so glad there is ample room between the neighbors houses and ours, not that they aren't good neighbors, they are. Quiet and no drama, that's how we like it!
We have these really annoying downstairs neighbors, cause we live in a little duplex sort of thing. When they moved in after the nice old people left... I was NOT happy about it. I use to run into the bathroom and into the bathtub and jump up and down. Mommy loved it cause she didn't like the new neighbors either, she thought I was trying to stomp the scary out of them. It was great, just me in the bathtub jumping up and down trying to scare away the new downstairs neighbors! It didn't work though... they are still here... and now they have a little yappy dog.
Lacey, Timo and I are purring very hard for your Mom's back to get better. The other night our Mom's back was all tied up in knots and I laid against her back almost all night. When she moved I made sure to squish my body up tight against her back again. Mom said it felt nice. Really warm.
I don't know about Simone's mom but I was talking about mine Tigger, MOL. Mom used to write music for other bands and she sang in bands locally. she also wrote for a music magazine and got to interview lots of international artists.
River could you come and maybe throw a River spitball at these neighbors or something like that? Maybe we could all form a posse and jump on them some night when they least suspect it. I'll see if I can ask Angel Balty and some of the other tough guy angels to come down and do that. It would be funny if they got smackey pawed all over the place and they couldn't see who was doing it cause it was from Catster angels. MOL!!!
Tigger we have literally 3 feet in between our house and their driveway!!! We loved the guy who lived there for 9 years, Brian! He and mom were good friends. He just moved out recently, couldn't afford the rent anymore.
Mietzi that's pawsome. Mom loves it when we do stuff like that too. I do my massages on her or I cuddle up close and purr hard. It's like having her own massaging heating pad but not an electric one! MOL. Finney too has been extra lovey and cuddly.
Love, Purrrrs, Hope and Bonks!!!! Hope evfurrything turns out ok!!!
Lacey, I know your mom is having a lot of pain and I know there was more sadness with furs going to the Bridge....but I just had to say that photo of you just makes me laugh every time I see it. M>O>L and hugs!
MOL. GOOD!!! Cause that's what we want actually. You know laughter is the bestest medicine so that's what mommy needs too. Mom tried to teach Jen on the phone last night (Ingen's mommy) how to keep the camera around for catching good and funny pictures.
Lacey, I'm not sure how I got that it was Moe Toes' mom that was the singer. MOL!
Maybe you just like saying Moe Toes! I do!!!
Who doesn't like saying Moe Toes? hehehe! I'm the queen of belly shots and toes!
MOL, EXACTLY Moe Moe! It's one of those names that rooolllllsss off your tongue.
I love saying Moe Toes...Moe Toes, Moe Toes, Moe Toes!!! MOL
Awww it looks like effurybody's just bein' silly. Good. We could use a little silliness.
Lacey--didn't I tell you (or was it Alex?) you need to keep your Mommy from jumping on and off the furniture and the windowsills! How's her back 'sposed to get better? Maybe you can buy her a house to play in like my mom ordered for me.
Feel better Lacey's Mommy. I don't know what they did yesterday, but I'm feeling soooo much better today. I posted that in my diary not too long ago. Maybe my v-lady was a witch doctor (uhm... a healer) 'cause I seemed to get better with not much more than a laying on of hands. Mom says I may feel better, but her wallet is hurting more. I didn't know wallets could hurt too.
Sending healing purrs to your Mommy...
Our closest neighbors are raccoons!
Don't forget the squirrels! Anyway, we're purring for you, Lacey's mom!
Sending your Mom lots of purrs. We hope she starts feeling better soon.
We would rather have racoons and squirrels as neighbors believe me! Thanks Rose! We appreciate it. Samsara, I'm so glad you're feeling better. So far today mom has been on the phone with Jen for quite awhile talking about everything that's happened with Ingen and stuff. We like Jen a lot, her and mom have a lot in common.
It's 84 degrees here so mom is gonna try and go outside to enjoy the warmth awhile! We still have to go through some of the new posts on Newman's diary about the poop book. They are so funny and we don't want to pass up any moments to laugh.
Sending lots of purry prayers for your Momma...Sinus infection is awful all on its own. Chronic pain tttttooooooo ..takes it over the top! Our Gma fights both these issues, too.
Has Momma tried a nice Hot bath? You could steam the sinus and possibly relax the muscles in the back and legs to ease that pain,also....Hot baths help our house with those issues....Candle light with the bath is a must....
Very gentle stretching after the bath can help ease muscular pain. We've had lots of experience here...Hope a suggestion helps.....
You're new neighbors sound awful! Maybe it's a blessing we live in the boonies.......nearest neighbors are 1/2 and 1 mile away. Take good care of your Momma!!!!!! purrs, precious
We're purring for your mama! My mama's back is on the mend, but when she first hurt it, she was so scared and depressed, and it hurt sooooo bad. So she's also sending hugs to your mama.
Hunter my mommy definitely has been VERY depressed! It's just too much sometimes. Precious our bathtub doesn't hold the water very well, it has those little holes that prevent it from going too high. It's an older tub and they used to do that so kids wouldn't drown. Problem is, the water only goes to mom's waste which does not help.
Oh your land sounds wonderful! What we wouldn't give for some peace and quiet and hearing just nature!
We are all purring here for your mom!
