So sadDecember 7th 2010 2:21 pm[ View A Comments (5) ]
Ohhhhh, my momma is really sad hearing of the death of Elizabeth Edwards. Momma met her way back when her "crummy" husband was running for President. My mom had worked for his campaign and met his wife several times. She said that he was very, very charming and handsome. But his wife was the nicest, warmest lady and really had a huge heart and a brilliant mind. She fought the brave fight with that awful breast cancer!
I agree she fought a long hard battle and had to deal with so much bull crap too. Mommie is saddened too. I wish there could be a cure for all cancers. Its just heartbreaking! Hugz and purrs, Sassy Momma just briefly heard about Elizabeth Edwards earlier and was saddened. It's very sad and awful with everything that happened near the end of her life: cancer and the whole thing with her ex-husband. Very sad for her children (and for her of course). That whole thing with John Edwards was just pathetic... There is just too much cancer both in people and kitties. Sad purrs, Gumpy Mom just watched the evening news and the tribute to Elizabeth brought tears to her eyes. We don't think very highly of that so-called "husband" of hers, but she seemed like a very courageous lady who stood up in the face of adversity. Cancer really stinks! Love, Tully He was awful wasn't he? He probably still is, never change! Big jerk really pushed her cancer over the edge with all the stress he put her through. She was a true inspiration for people with cancer everywhere. Very wise woman. Listening to them read quotes from her book, made my mom's eyes leaky. It is very sad - I wish we could find a cure for that nasty disease. |
