Mom decided to force our introduction since informal introductions have not been working. I was not very nice to Mussey initially and i admit i do chase him from time to time.. but he is very much afraid of me and growls when i get near him. I am no longer as aggressive, but he is still is just as afraid. So mom decided to put us in the master bathroom with a litter box, food... and windows open for nice fresh air.. and hopefully allow us to get introduced better... So mom is monitoring the situation today.. checking in on us to see how its going. No noise no fighting.. but eventually one of us will need to use kitty box or eat or have water, so mom is hoping we just gravitate closer. She doesnt know what to do other than this. She tried some tricks that her friend here on catster told her to do but mussey was too afraid to approach his food ( putting treats and food out ).. so mom is hoping something works because she cant keep us separated like this forever.

Hopefully you 2 can call a truce at the least...It took a long time for one of my furbears to 'agree to live with' the other, a kitten! But eventually they did!
Can they be distracted with some type of interactive toy?
Best wishes and good purrs!

I tried to get near Mussey today but he was afraid and hissed out of fear... so that made me want to chase him. .It seemed i was willing to call a truce somewhat... but then he ran off and i chased him.. so mom has the door open and there was some arguing earlier.. but its quiet now. because i am on the bed resting and Mussey is hiding under the desk. The minute he comes out, i chase him and it just starts the whole cycle all over.. he hides.. i wait... mom just hopes that we both get tired of this! she does see a little improvement but not much. At least Mussey is not running under the bed, he is hiding under the desk which is more open although its hidden, its not as bad as under the bed. So hopefully we will just tolerate eachother.. that would be ok!
thanks for your wishes. we do have a laser toymomi can try to see if that can get them out together.. becuase it is an interactive toy.. mom will try that later!
