Arrival Story:
This is my sister's cat. Her best friend gave her this cat as a gift back when they were in high school. She was a tiny kitten when we first got her. Even though she is my sister's cat, I was the one who choose the name, Pumpkin. I thought it would be appropriate because she has a tiny patch of fur on top of her head, which is pumpkin colored.
Bio:
Pumpkin has moved around quite a bit. First she lived in my parent's house when me and my sisters were still in middle and high school. Pumpkin stayed at my parents house while her owner went to college. Once my sister moved out of the dorms and the sorority house, she took Pumpkin to live with her off-campus. When my sister decided to move back into our parent's house (in order to go to graduate school), Pumpkin moved into my sister's boyfriend's (now he's her fiancé) house because our parents didn't want to house the cat after being pet-free for quite a while. After tolerating her cat antics for quite some time, my sister's boyfriend was getting fed up with Pumpkin. I had just moved into my then-boyfriend's condo so we took her for a while. Finally, for my sister's birthday in 2003, my parents agreed to allow the cat to come back and live at the house where she originally grew up. Now that her mommy got married, she has moved into her new daddy's house with her mommy.

My mommy took me to the veterinarian today so that I could leave this Earth. We had many wonderful times together, and I will thank her infinitely for not having me go through extended pain and suffering. I will forever miss my family and will live on in their memories. Some day, we will all be reunited and will play, laugh, and enjoy each other's company once again.

Reecie arrived and now has her own catster page. We got off to a rocky start and I'd try to tell her how much I didn't like her by hissing. She didn't get the picture and kept bugging me. Although I don't like her being around, we'll end up napping next to each other and will usually be found in proximity to each other. She stays out and about when there are strange people around while I bolt and hide under the bed, so that's fine with me. It's then that I can get in my alone time.

My parents have been researching adopting a new kitten recently so I will probably be getting a sibling. We'll see how it goes. I'm excited and nervous at the same time.
