Arrival Story:
Spot wandered up on my patio of the apartment I was living in. She was the roughest looking kitten I had ever layed eyes on. She was so scared of everything no one could get close to her. I beleive she was someone's kitten at one time but they threw her out along with her sister. Her sister was very mean to her, wouldn't let her eat and would beat her up. Spot would just cower in the corner and let her sister eat the food I was putting out. Once he sister had her belly full (she never looked like she missed a meal) Spot would come and clean up what ever scraps that were left. I couldn't get close to her but I started out putting a can of food in the flower bed and she would eat it there. She was so thin and malnutrician, I honestly didn't think she would make it. I would set out on the patio while she ate to chase her sister off so she would get some food. Honestly, she was the size of a 6 week old kitten and couldn't of weighed more than 1-1/2 lbs. Her sister on the other hand was the size of a 3 or 4 month old and no doubt weighed closer to 5 lbs. I began to win her trust and she moved up on the patio to eat. It took 6 months before she trusted me enough to sit beside me to eat and another 3 months for me to touch her. Just when we began to make friends, we were moving. I was so tore about leaving her behind as she had grown and gained weight but I was never able to catch her to take her to the vet to be checked. On moving day, I snuck up on her stuffed her in a cat cage and she moved right along with us. Keep in mind, she was still an outside cat. She was confused at our new place but found her crate bed I made for her and lived on my back porch. About January that year, I noticed that she was getting a bit on the fat side so it was now time to make her go to the vet if she liked it or not. Yes, she was pregnant.....she got all her shots blood work and the vet said she would be deliving kittens in the next month. Now came the problem, what was I going to do. The kittens would not have a chance outside but Spot didn't like the inside. Guess what, I made Spot like the inside, she hid under the bed for a few weeks but finally started coming out but she had to hide from the Queen who beat her but on a daily basis because she had moved into her Queendom! She finally adjusted to being an inside cat until one night she paced the floor and kept going to the door and pawing to get out. I took one look at her back side and realized she was in labor. I had already fixed her a birthing room inside my walk in closet so off to the closet she went. She was not happy with me staying in there with her so I left her alone and kept a check on her. After 3 hours, I found a total of 6 beautiful kittens, all colors. She was such a wonderful Momma, she wanted to show off her family to me. Spot then became part of our family and has been inside with us ever since. She doesn't even want to go outside anymore she is very content sitting on her stool looking out the window or napping.

Bio:
You no doubt are wondering about her brood of kittens right? Well.......we found homes for the grey and white one (girl) right away. The grey calico (girl) went next along with the orange black and white Calico (we called her sherwin cuz she looked like she was spotted with paint). All that was left was 1 black and white (girl-Ma"donna") 1 black and white (boy - his name is now Ace and lives with a good friend of mine), and the prettiest White and Orange (boy - his name is cheeto and he was my baby boy from the day he was born. Ma*donna went to Maryland with my daughter but when she moved back, Ma*donna came back home and moved right back in. You will see all these babies on different pages...see I told you I was the "Crazy Cat Lady"!!!
