Some of you know I am a bathroom cat. I always follow Mom in there to help her with her toilet habits, etc. Today, she felt chilled and went for a hot bath. Sometimes she reads in there and takes too long, so I jump up on the edge and encourage to get out. Lately, she has been ignoring me, so I have started to take very careful steps right on to her big belly! That makes her a bit nervous, and me too because if she has soaped up, it is slippery. Today, I added a new twist. I started kneading on her bare skin. She found that too much to take as my claws are very sharp. So she lifted me off and put me back on the edge of the tub. I then went to rub up against a bottle of shampoo and it fell in. This threw me off balance and I started to fall in too. I was only saved from getting wet by putting out my left front paw and pushing off on Mom's face. I accidentally scratched her. Mom said, "How am I going to explain this one at work?" She has a scratch on her cheek. She has been looking at me funny since then. I think she is waiting for an opportunity to catch me off guard and trim my precious claws!
MOL MOL so hard now ROFMOL oh sorry for your mom but that was too funny, I can just see the whole thing unfold and I love to watch moma take a bath too I never been brave enough to touch her just the bubbles in the tub.
If they do not already then the people at your mom's job will think she is a crazy cat lady to show up with a scratch like that.
Hi Tiny Mighty MoeMoe! That is what Mom said! She said they were going to think she is a crazy cat lady. And I said, er, uh, YOU ARE!
That is a good story, Kitcat! Calvin would be proud of you for kneading on her bare belly!
aww kitkat we just been reading up on your pawsome family wow what a crew and so much family history and photos too!
Mom loves the video of you and Lobo we cannot comment on dogster but we wanted you to know.
BTW some people think mom is a crazy cat lady too MOL she doens't care anymore she just kinda smiles and says yea I love the kitties. On day tiny grabbed her face and caught her just under her eye for several days it was a little blue and scratched.
You were just trying to secure a foothold to keep from falling in the nasty water! You accidentally scratched your Mom,while I have been deliberately bathed 3 times now,& have not scratched Dad once during my waterboarding! I need to think this whole "being a good cat during baths" thing through......
While I feel bad fur your poor mom's face, I am glad that you did not get an unexpected dunking!
MOL, though! MOL!
I bet you're gonna be in for a nail trimming after that!
MOL! MOL! Looks into crystal ball and says "I see a nail trim in your not too distant future." You know what, though? A blunt nail can do a lot more damage. The scratches may not be as deep but they're wider.
I've been told that late brofurs B.A. and Misha were horsing around one night and nicked Mom at the side of her eye. There was blood everywhere. She had to go to work with a shiner the next day. Nobody believed her cats put it there.
Well, I suppose a little nail trim is better than having gotten wet.
Thanks everyone! She hasn't got my nails done yet!
To make up for it, I brought her my favorite toy mouse while she was sleeping. It is the white one that is roughed up a bit. I left it right by her face so it would be the first things she would see when she opened her eyes.
AWWWWW!! That's SO sweet of you!! I'm sure it more than made up for the scratch. It was an accident anyway. I'm sure she knows that! She'll forget all about your manicure!! Luv, Snow
We hope your Mom is okay. Those scratches can be pretty nasty.
It wasn't done on purpose, so we know she will forgive you.
Now, that will probably not save you from a manicure.
I'm glad your momcat is okay. It sounds like you keep her on her toes. MOL, you are just so precious.
It was a teeny, tiny scratch! But actually, she noticed later, there were two! That is how fast us kitties are. But she is fine. And, as of now, I still have my sharp claws.
