Pisces Cats: February & March Zodiac Personality Explained

If you’re like most folks, you might get curious and check your horoscope or read your birth chart occasionally. On the other hand, you might be one of those people who judge the aspects of someone you just met based on what the stars have to say about them.

Whether you want to know your Piscean cat or learn a little more about the sign itself, we have gathered all the crucial basics on the matter. The Pisces, the grand finale, the final hoorah—what is there to mention about the last star sign of the zodiac?

What Is a Pisces? (February 19–March 20)

Pisces is the 12th and final constellation of the zodiac. People born under Pisces have birth dates between February 19 and March 20. The Pisces runs 330° to 360° of celestial longitude.

But don’t charge ahead too fast! Cusps are also relevant. If someone is born between February 15 through February 23, they likely carry attributes of both Aquarius and Pisces influences. So, maybe someone is creative, career-driven, and kind-hearted.

On the other hand, if someone was born between March 17 and March 23, you are considered a Pisces/Aries cusp, combining features of both star signs. These two signs can weave go-getter style traits of the Aries while also taking on the Piscean emotional complexity.

Piscean Symbols

Pisces is represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions. This symbol is fitting since “Pisces” is Latin for “fishes.” The fish symbolize the counteracting balance between fantasy and reality in the Pisces world.

Personality & Traits

Pisces might be the kindest sign you have ever met, permitting them to feel comfortable being vulnerable with you. A Pisces is like a sponge, constantly picking up on the emotions and vibes of people around them.

If you nurture a Pisces correctly, you will have unmatched loyalty, affection, and adoration. These people have a zest for life and always want to see the best in those around them. Hurt a Pisces, however, and you might have another reaction completely.

Pisces are known for being the most sensitive sign of the zodiac. This can sometimes work in their favor and against their best interest. They tend to adopt several people-pleasing tendencies and may try to win the approval of everyone they encounter.

If they feel they aren’t being accepted or received well, they might draw within, pout, or even throw a tantrum, showing the shadowy side of the Pisces sign. This sign can cause many “in your head” behaviors—they tend to be daydreamers, idealists, and enthusiasts.

So, while the Pisces can be a lovely, intuitive, emotionally nurturing sign, they can also be bashful, pouty, and emotionally draining. Some might even become vindictive or self-pitying if they feel they have experienced more hardship than they deserve.

Compatibility with Other Signs

If you are considering adopting a cat or want to know more about you and your current cat’s compatibility, what signs mesh best with a Pisces? Pisces are often compatible with other water signs and a few earth signs as well!

Compatible Signs:
  • Scorpio
  • Cancer
  • Pisces
  • Capricorn
  • Taurus

Pisces can also sometimes be compatible with a Virgo. However, this mixture is tricky, touchy, and iffy! If the two are balanced in themselves, they can have a rewarding partnership, as they are polar opposites in the cosmos.

However, the Virgo/Pisces part can be like fire and gasoline if an unresolved internal conflict exists. The Virgo’s critical nature can often hurt the Pisces. The Pisce’s nagging, head-in-the-clouds ideals can also annoy the Virgo since they are highly analytical.

Incompatible Signs:
  • Sagittarius
  • Gemini
  • Libra

The very worst pairings are listed above. The Sag can’t give the Pisces the stability that they crave. The Gemini is much to this-way-that-way for the Pisces’ liking. The Libra might connect with Pisces from time to time, but they are often too bold.

A Pisces Cat: What to Expect

First of all, what better sign to represent a cat than a pair of two delicious fish? This will likely give you an affectionate cat that might sometimes be a little needy but always means well. If you forget to fill the food dish, you might get shunned since it will no doubt hurt their feelings.

Keep in mind that if you are looking for an independent cat that can take care of itself, some Pisces cats might be a bit clingy. Traditionally, Pisces cats will require your attention more than most and demand you give it to them.

Pisces cats might be hard to read. They may want your attention one minute and go bolting through the house the next. The Pisces can be a bit unpredictable or moody sometimes—and it might be easy to hurt their spirits.

Because Pisces cats are a water sign, they might like splashing in the water—and even getting baths if you’re lucky! This is entirely dependent on your cat’s overall personality.

Since Pisces as a whole is known for being very crafty and creative, your cat might be a Houdini or entertain themselves in unconventional ways. They might also enjoy guilty pleasures, like too many snacks or sharpening their claws on your favorite chair.

Neptune Rules Pisces

Neptune is the ruler of Pisces, giving the influences of boundless imagination, the birth of creativity, the expansion of dreams, and the challenging of illusions. Neptune makes it easy for the Pisces to slip into another unseen world that can only be accessed through their inner depths.

It also carries psychic abilities and governs dreams. People ruled by this planet might be more in touch with the metaphysical.

Some downsides to Neptune are that it can spread delusion and enhance escapism behaviors. So, people have to be careful not to go too internal, as it can form poor defense mechanisms that make it difficult to communicate effectively.

Pisces Is a Water Sign

The element of water represents the Pisces. Water signs tend to explore the depths of human emotions, bringing it to the surface to be seen. They are not afraid to dive into their feelings and connect with what makes them tick.

Water signs are often deeply spiritual and can connect to the higher self much easier than many others.

Pisces Is Considered a Mutable Sign

Pisces is a mutable, negative water sign. That means it is malleable, indecisive, and highly changeable, which can manifest positively and negatively. Just like how the tides bring highs and lows, Pisces embodies movement in a natural rhythm.

You can think of the Pisces going with the eternal ebb and flow of life—constantly moving with the ever-fluctuating emotions and circumstances we face. The Pisces are generally more equipped to withstand adversity because they have obtained wisdom of all 11 other star phases.

Bringing with them ancient knowledge, those in Pisces have learned composure, repose, and self-love. When balanced, all of these attributes come into play. A mutable sign like the Pisces who has endured trauma, however, might be suspicious of others, emotionally unbalanced, or easy to offend.
