Love is in the air — Valentine’s Day is tomorrow — and there’s no better way to show you care than with a handmade card. This fine feline is the perfect way to spread Valentine’s cheer, and it’s a great craft for kids or kids at heart.
What you’ll need
- Construction paper or cardstock. (You can use patterned paper, too.)
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Instructions
To make one like ours, cut out:
- 2 extra-large hearts for the body
- 1 large heart for the head
- 3 medium hearts for the ears and eye patch
- 10 small hearts for the eyes, nose and tail
- 6 extra-small hearts for the feet and pupils
Then, glue your hearts together to form your fabulous feline.
If you plan to make several of these or want to get a little creative, start by cutting hearts in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. Get creative by making some of the hearts wide, some long, some large and some very small. You’ll end up with a variety of unique and adorable cats. You can even glue your cats together for the ultimate cat card! When your kitties are complete, write a heart-filled message on the back and send them off to their new homes.
