If you have no plans for the long weekend, how about recycling that old CRT monitor that’s collecting dust in the garage? You can let your creative juices flow, or take a minimalist approach.

Old monitors are purrfectly sized for kitty cubbyholes, and once transformed can fill multiple roles — as cat bed, art piece and conversation starter.

I’ve got a ginormous monitor that hasn’t worked for years, but sits on my desk solely so that the cats can sleep on the cat bed sitting atop it which affords a nice view of the trees and birds outside — I’m dying to take out the innards and turn it into a “bunk bed”, with upper and lower sleeping spaces. Some of these designs have gotten my creative juices flowing… how about you???
