Arrival Story:
I fostered her. She was a calm, confident kitten but turned into a timid cat for some reason. She hated adoption days and usually avoided them successfully. She had a sixth sense about it. One day I had tried to lure her for over an hour. I got a phone call that my niece had been in a minor car accident and was pretty shaken. Frustrated with the cat and late for the adoption, I said out loud, "forget the adoption, I'm going to see about Celeste (niece)." Not thirty seconds later, Shelley emerged, "meow, meow," rubbing against my leg. So she won.

Bio:
It has taken a long, long time to get her over her timidity, but I'm very happy to say that she's now very affectionate and trusting of me. Unfortunately she also pees on my bed, but that's some kind of love thing and not anxiety. Sigh.
