Arrival Story:
We had gone to Steinaker Dam in Idaho for a picnic dinner and some water play. My guardian - Mom-Dawn, had decided to stay out of the water, read and sit with her mother. I came along looking for a snack because I was very, very hungry! Mom-Dawn gave me some scraps of food, and tried to see if I had other guardians there. I also looked like I may have had a litter of kittens around, so she got Daddy-Rob to go with her, to check to see if they could be found. No signs of any little kittens. No one else claimed me, and one 2-legged female stated that I had been most likely abandoned. Daddy-Rob asked Mommy-Dawn what she thought they should do. Some of the other 2-leggers did not want me to go home with Mommy-Dawn and Daddy-Rob, but Mommy-Dawn said it would be wrong to leave me alone out there! So, they took me in there moving machine - which I did not like at ALL! Then, they took me into a place that had 2 DOGS!!! and another Cat, and a bird that I learned might eat me - if I tried to eat him! I was less than pleased, and thought I probably had better chances at the Dam! But, after a while, I learned that the Dogs thought I was telling them I wanted to _play_. Mommy-Dawn told them to behave, and quit acting like idiot meat heads. Soon, I learned that when I would be calm, they would also be calm. The upstairs cat (Silver) was also not too welcoming! She let me know, that Mommy-Dawn was _her_ property, and she didn't give much of a hoot about any of the other 2-legged ones. The old 2-legged lady was always good for getting some petting from, and the little 2 legged boy wasn't mean. He is quite gentle, actually. And, as far as she was concerned, Daddy-Rob was just too close to Mommy-Dawn, but Mommy-Dawn didn't seem to mind. Well, before too long, we all pretty much settled into our various routines. I have been with my 2-legged family ever since! Even with a move pending, I was always considered 'part of the family' - and the thought of abandoning me, has never crossed their minds!

Bio:
During our move here, Silver crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We ended up with another dog, and in March it dared to have puppies! Well, around the first part of July, I pulled a fast one - I love to eat grass - so I snuck outside. I thought I'd try to slip in the back way, even though I am not supposed to go outside at all. Those rotten puppies thought I was a trespasser!!! They chomped me pretty badly. Mommy-Dawn and Daddy-Rob did their best to take care of me. I had to go to the yucky vet, and he stitched me up. Mommy-Dawn and Daddy-Rob, have done their best to take care of me. I have a few scars now, and all my fur hasn't grown back yet. (I don't mind too much - the fleas here are horrible!) Daddy-Rob seems to think I am _his_, but he is _mine_! He would take extra care with me, as they talk about Mommy-Dawn having vision problems. I still try to sneak outside - and get hauled right back inside!
