Arrival Story: I went to a shelter with a predetermined idea of what I wanted...blue, female, about a year old, already spayed, declawed (I knew I couldn't actually do that to a cat so I was looking for one already done). There in the screened in porch area, she hopped on the back of the chair and started to frantically paw in the air to get my attention. Exactly what I had imagined!!!
Bio: Tweak is really an amazing girl. Well, I think so. She's really intuitive, takes excellent care of me and has taught me a lot about cats. She was very needy when she first moved in. She would sleep with her paws on my eyes and was basically glued to me. She gained a lot of confidence as time went on and now is one of the most self assured cats I've ever encountered. She loves to go visit Brandon (her boyfriend) and Aimee upstairs and their 2 cats. Tweak totally takes over the place, using their cats' litter box, eating their food and laying in their bed. It's pretty funny to watch. Of course when Wiggy goes up to visit, he yells at Brandon if the food bowls are empty, so he's pretty confident too.
Tweak also tells people she doesn't want something, like being touched or held by biting them. She's very stubborn about it too. If you don't pull your hand away, she'll sometimes just keep crunching down until you give up. She does not like to lose.

Many of my furriends are all about Calvin and we here send so many purrs to him, his family and furriends.
Speaking of purrs, we have a new member of the family to add to those purrs, and he has a very loud one. He's a blue point Himmie named Tenszing (can you believe that? Poor guy). I'm not at all excited to have yet another boy cat in my home, but at least he knows I'm COTW and a force to be reckoned with! He's pretty respectful, but I have to give him occasional hisses and growls just be sure. And then I growl at the rest of the boys just coz I can. *giggles again* Tenszing arrived Saturday night. Mostly he's separated from us, but mommy lets him out for awhile each day. Ugh! We all got catnip yesterday, so that was super cool! She says we'll all get more today. Yummmmmmy!

OMC!!!! I just found out I am COTW!!!! Mommy saw I got rosettes from Aldo (chapter 2) and Muppet and they were concatulating me on this honor! Then mommy went back to the front Catster page and squealed! She showed me my picture and my rosies!!!! I'm so excited!!!! Does this mean I have the power to evict my new brother, Tenszing?
It's been almost a month since I met mama Judy, so I'm super late writing about it. But let me tell you, dear diary, it was so much fun!
So, mommy and Auntie Judy first met mama Judy's family Auntie Judy's apartment. They even got to see Baby Amy!!! I wish I got to meet my "niece", but I didn't. Baby Amy joined her daddy and granddaddy at the Museum of Science and Industry. While I waited at home in eager anticipation of meeting my mommy-in-law and sister-in-law, they took their sweet time and checked out the shelter where mommy volunteers and stopped for lunch. Get this, they ate tapas!! They had tuna canalon and bacon wrapped dates! Did I get any of these fine treats? No! Plus that meant I had to wait even LONGER.
Finally, everyone arrived at my condo and I got to meet mama Judy and my sister-in-law, Pedro's mommy!!! It was so much fun to smell them (ergo Dashy, Lilly and Pedro) and play with them. Mama Judy plays great cat games!!! We played with a cat charmer and some of the really cool toys she brought for ME!!!! Auntie Judy and Pedro's momm, Sarah, kept Wiggy and Jarl busy so I got uninterruped time with Mama Judy. Jarl is such a flirt (and he smells like gross spoiled roquefert cheese). I even let Mama Judy pick me up and hold me!!! Not everyone gets to do that, you know. Mostly only mommy. I tried to get her to play the belly game with me, but she says she wasn't going to fall for my seductive ploys to try to get her to touch my belly. That was sort of a bummer. I did finally get an opportunity to try to tast mama Judy, but it took a long time to get to that point. Dashy said I could and should try to taste her.
Mama Judy brought all these pawsome toys and lots of catnip!!! One of the toys is a rabbit with pants, and you put catnip in it's pants. I call that the happy pants toy (as in "is that catnip in your pants or are you just happy to see me"" MOL I love them sooooo much!!! I bet Dashy helped her pick out the most purrfect toys...he is such a great husband.
Anyway, it was such a great day and I wish I could have spent more time with everyone. And I wish Dashy could have snuck in someone's carry-on and come too. That would have made for the best day ever!!! I can't wait until I get to see them again!!!!!
