Arrival Story: 09/09/2009 is a day that I will never forget. I was awakened in the middle of the night. At first I thought I heard a human baby then I realized it was a kitty. The crying was coming from the apartment next door.(We share a bedroom wall.) By morning I couldn't take it anymore and went to investigate.
The door was closed but not locked. Nobody answered my knocks so I went in.
I just had time to take in that I was looking at a totally empty space when a tiny orange ball of fur came flying at me.
He run up my jean clad leg and kinda jumped into my arms.
He was kneading and purring!
So a very long story made shorter. This tiny baby was abandoned. The man who lived there simply skipped out.
Just a few weeks ago I was told that his kitty ( a sweet tabby and white fell over the balcony (6th floor.) I guess he got a replacement. Why he skipped out leaving this sweet tiny baby behind is something I cannot fathom.
I was in a panic. I really didn't want to keep him.
What to do? I don't know what made me go to the SPCA
I must have known I couldn't turn him over?!
OK, long story short. Right?
We saw one of the SPCA vets who estimates his age at barely two months.
He got his first vaccine and got tested for all the biggies and
thank Cat got a clean bill of health
I bought baby cat food and came home with him.
Made up the bathroom as his temporary home.
Needless to say Alfie and Teddy were less than thrilled.
By day 2 little guy was screaming his head off.
He wanted out!!!
Every time I went in he escaped. He is so small and fast!
Got smacked around by Teddy but he smacked back! MOL
Climbed up to the top of the condo and challenged Alfie for the top spot!!
By day 3 he was out and he has a name~ Milo
Alfie sweetly allowed him the top spot for a short time.
Right now he is playing with Teddy's tail and Teddy is OK with this.
I do have great boys!

We love you~ CATSTER ROCKS!!
My mommy is threatening me with boot-camp.
I had to ask Teddy Bearz what that is.
Are they kitting me?
There is no such thing, right?
My mom doesn't know what to do with me!
I still can't resist the front door.
She let me go out and followed me to see what I would do.
Well, I did stay away from the elevator and I walked close to the wall. But walking and running and jumping in that long stretch is fun!!
ORANGE KITTENS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN!!!
I will get serious for a minute. I do want to
thank you for all your purrs.
I was very scared so I am trying to
forget it but being all alone in a strange house with no food
and no litter box or water reminded of another time........
I purred to my brother Wally and my angel Buddie and
I think they helped guide my mommy to me.
I love you with all my furry little heart
First, a huge thank you for all your kind words of concern, advice and purrs.
I will do my best to thank you all individually.
It is such a great comfort to know that so many care about us.
I could not come back last night.
I was so emotionally wiped out and Milo was so clingy. I think
Velcro has to be added to his nickname list.
He would not let me out of his sight!
So back to my story.
I was halfway up the building trying to be totally systematic in
my search.
One thing I was sure about!
Milo could not have left the building. Not on his own~at least.
I was about half way up when I had this "feeling" and decided
to go with it!
I went to the top floor~ 8th~ the penthouse floor which is a rather pretentious misnomer and not nearly as fancy as it sounds.
There are only 4 apartments on this floor.
As soon as the elevator door opened I heard shrieking.
It was coming from one of the apartments. Yes, even the penthouse has thin walls! MOL!
I knew it was Milo.
It was such a strange sense of deju vu.
Didn't I just listen to him cry through a wall~a little over 2 months ago?!
I banged on the door.
Called his name.
The volume of his cry increased by decibels.
Nobody answered the door!
WHY?
Now what?
I went back home to phone the superintendent to come and let me in that apartment.
She is not home.
I tell my dad I am camping outside that door until I can get inside!!!
Dad suggests I call the police.
Yea, right, Dad. I am sure they will drop everything and come and rescue my catnapped baby.
I sat on the floor, could have minutes could have been hours.
I honestly don't recall.
Finally a young man shows up.
Big grin on his face.
Oh, is he your kitty? he asks.
OK so long story short.
He was on his way to a DENTAL APPOINTMENT and he was late and in a rush.
The elevator is occupied by my Milo
He makes the decision to go back to his apartment, drop Milo and deal with this little orange mystery when he comes back
home.
I have no choice but agree that he did the best he could.
When he opens the door, Milo jumps straight into my arms.
Yep, we have definitely done this before!
Tomorrow I will let Milo speak for himself.
Thank you once again.
Catster is the best place to be in good times and not so good!
