I like to check out what's in the refrigerator but my Dad never lets me get too far inside and he does not hold the door open very long!

But yesterday I did. He did not want to close the door since I was standing at the open door, investigating this cool environment.

I smelled around everything and began pawing at a tangerine, on the lower shelf, what was that!

That was all my Dad would let me do and he closed the door and petted me and he said "oh you're cool like you've been outside".

Luckily we never go outside!

This morning I had my last syringe of the pain medication for having teeth pulled. That stuff smelled worse today than yesterday! But I don't think I was in pain at all, I wanted to be fed and lean up on my dad's leg so that he'd be sure to feed us; acting just as normal as can be!

I just returned from having 4 teeth pulled today. The funny thing is my pupils are still big and black; but that will wear off by morning. That is what usually happens, because I was 'cat-napping' so to speak, while the Vet did the surgery.

The Vet said I had lots of little teeth missing; where did they go!? They said that can happen sometimes too; and not to worry. Maybe that's why I got these little coughs sometimes, if I had swallowed a teeny tiny tooth. I don't know why my teeth would wanna fall out & leave me!

I sure was hungry when I got home awhile ago. That was because I could not eat anything after 12 midnight. But my Dad was lenient and fed all of us at 12:40 am last night! Well really, he was behind in getting all his things done! He wanted to be sure I ate around midnight since it would be awhile until I'd eat again.

In the morning I will be given a syringe of pain medication and again the next morning too; but they said I have to eat before getting the medicine.

Probably I will be sleepy most of this evening; ahh yawn...

Before I fall asleep:

Happy Easter to all of you!

Hi everyone, this is the same as my sister Elsa's diary, but we wanted to let many of you know this happy news!

You’ve ALL made Julie so happy!

Lots of you wrote to me (and to Elsa, Felix & Tabatha) last March/April allowing us to write your names in a "Happy Spring" card and "Welcome to Your New Home Card" which we sent to Julie, when she had to give up 6 of her kitties. My diaries last March/April tells what had happened to her.

After Julie received the "Happy Spring Card" you can see how happy she is where she posted in the Catster Forum on April 4/12:

From JULIE:

You Guys Are Amazing!! (Tiny, Squint, Autumn & Fuzz) -

What I love about Catster is that there are true, blue people here that really, truly and authentically care about others in distress about their cats.

I want to thank all those who have offered support, gave donations to the shelter in the name of my cats... that's a big one - they are still awaiting adoption - and my gratefulness and thankfulness, joy and comfort from Catster people is none that I ever remember experiencing in my life.

Thank you deeply,

Tiny Dancer, Fuzz Black-Toe, Squint-Delicious, and Autumn Sits-With-Tiny-Paws (and Julie O')

p.s. I'll be offline starting tomorrow afternoon for maybe a week because of my move into the smaller place.

I love you guys!
Julie

See how you've all made Julie feel so wonderful & cared for! Here is the link to that:

-
After Julie received the "New Home" card with your names written in, she posted in this Catster Forum on May 7/12:

FROM Julie:

How can a group of people be so authentically caring and nice? -

Thank you soooo much for my "Happy New Home" card, what a special card and it's the only one I got, too!

Thank...............you...............guys so, so much, we all love you here, myself, Tiny Dancer, Squint Delicious, Autumn Sits-With-Tiny-Paws and Fuz Black-Toe.

You all make mine and my kitties' lives better.
Much, much thanks again!!

Love,

Julie O', and the gang 'o pudsta's

-
Once again you've made Julie feel so much better! That one is linked at:

http://www.catster.com/forums/What_I_Love_About_Catster/thread/744087

-
From Me: The update on Julie's kitties today is that of the 6 she had to give away, 5 are now adopted (including Graciela adopted out to a family that wanted a special needs cat)!! So now, only loveable Marilia is waiting to be adopted (if ANYONE is interested...).

She's at http://www.woodshumane.org
and they now have her biography posted and while reading it you can see she would be a Loving Kitty.

About 2 weeks ago, my Dad got a THANK YOU card in the MAIL from Julie and she wrote LOVINGLY about ALL of you!! Here is what she wrote in the card:

Mike,

Thank you and everyone SO much for emotionally carrying me through a hard time!

You guys are all amazing, compassionate, caring people which I was of the mind didn't exist anymore, so thank you also for restoring my faith that there really are wonderful people out there.

You are awesome and I feel blessed to know you, Heather, and everybody that's written.

Reading the cards has filled me with such joy and I become touched to tears. THANK YOU!!!!

Much love and warmth to all of you and your families.

Julie

-
Heather is a friend of Julie's and she is Mom to Art Blakey on Catster. She had written in Art's diary about Julie too. Heather especially helped us all to make Julie's unfortunate changes in her life go a little smoother.

Again, “Thanks” my Catster friends for letting me put your names in the cards for Julie. You are all caring Catster Families and I'm clapping my paws together and giving you all a standing ovation for your caring words & thoughts for Julie!

This will greatly help her continue on with just the 4 kitties she has now (Tiny Dancer, Squint, Autumn and Fuzz who are all Catster kitties). You've helped her to not feel so alone in what she's had to endure!

Thank YOU!

Love,
Ginger, xo

Did you all read about Panda, one of the Diary Picks today? Her mom Becky sounds like a very sweet lady who needs help getting a service dog. Panda is very cute!

I think Catster must agree this lady has a worthy cause, as written in Panda, her kitty's diary, since they've chosen Panda as a Diary Pick today!

Our family is going to donate a little to her which is in the link in her diary; it looks like all of us Catster families can donate too - as little as $5.00.

Becky is pictured with her dog Takkera which you can see at "Meet My Family".

Panda, one of today's Diary Picks is at:

I hope you all agree. Poor Becky, no wonder Panda's diary mentions she's so sad. We can give a little hope. Thanks to all of you!

Dad, have the guests all arrived? I have set up my Catster page with photos where you can see I’m sitting by all my cans of Fancy Feast, and my bowl of dry food – all prepared especially for my Birthday Party tonight!

And in that one picture where I look just exhausted – well that’s how I feel right now after all my party preparations! Whoosh, I never had to work so hard! Being 7 years old today I have just never set a Birthday table before.

I have to get my nails done too. So I will do what I usually do: scratch on all the cardboard boxes I can find in the house. My favorite box right now is near the front door; oooooh it makes my nails so nice and sharp – just purrfect for going out on a date (if your date is a real wolf)!

My makeup has to be just right too. I like my little beauty mark to be beside my nose, a little orange dot right by my nose. I try to line my brows purrfectly; sometimes I forget that I have two eye brows and just make one, with my favorite orange eye brow pencil!

Well, I guess I’ll see what’s in the mail today. OH! A Birthday Card from Pet Smart! I like to pose in photos and point out just how nice the card is.

May I check my Catster page? Oh my goodness I’m so overwhelmed! Thank you every Catster friend for your best wishes! You are making my special day a great celebration with your special stars and rosettes!

There’s some paw mail too. Wow!! Thank you my furriends, for the special paw mails!

Thank you Rory, Tundra, Manytoes & Lynzee and also Pipo & Minko for making me photos! I’m putting them on my page too.

I’m going to set out my pretty ‘Calico Kitty’ ornament for all to see, with thanks to Pipo and Minko for sending it to me!

Dad, may I log in and check emails too? Oh Meow Goodness! I see many emails showing comments on my pictures and yesterday’s diary! Thanks for your comments my Furriends!

I wish you all didn’t live so far away because you could come to my birthday party too, and have Fancy Feast, Whiskas Seafood, Science Diet Light and Catnip Birthday Cake.

The table is set with tulips and red roses, and a beautiful diamond centerpiece. I’ve invited some pretty little blue birds to come and make a musical presentation in song. Some ladybugs and a grey mouse might also stop by and there’s going to be an hour of recreation where the boys will be throwing baseballs as they get ready for the upcoming season! Oh I wish you could come!

Thank you all Very Much!

Tyson had a birthday yesterday, and Dad kept thinking it was my birthday yesterday, so Iâm going t ...

Tyson had a birthday yesterday, and Dad kept thinking it was my birthday yesterday, so I’m going to get ready today in case I have a birthday coming up soon! I’m getting ready for it now, while I have a bit of time, because a bird in the hand is worth more than two in the bush. A bird to a cat is.…they are fun to watch!

We decided I don’t have enough new pictures on my Catster page so we found some from 2007, 2009 and 2011. I wonder if our camera was broke in those even years of 2008 and 2010!

Last night I scared my Dad a little bit. Every time he comes home from work, I am always either sleeping right at the door, so that he won’t miss me, or if I’m upstairs I come running down because I know we’ll be fed. Last night I was no where to be found when Tyson, Elsa and Tabatha ran into the kitchen when he got home. He did a few things around the house, and still, I had not come to the kitchen.

I do have a favorite spot to sleep on upstairs on a box, but I never usually stay there when he gets home. So he went upstairs and there I was on the box, alert and bright like nothing was wrong! (I wanted him to think just because Tyson has a birthday, I need attention paid to me on his birthday too!).

Lately when he goes in the bathroom at bedtime, I go in with him and jump on the chair because my new favorite thing is to have him brush me in the bathroom. So he brushes me and it’s a lot of fun; and every night I continue going in with him because I know he’ll have to brush me!

Also I have this other new thing of walking in slow motion! This happens because Elsa is learning bad habits from Tabatha. Just because Tabatha growls at Elsa, it does not mean Elsa has to turn around and slap me if I’m nearby! So sometimes when Elsa is in my way, especially heading into the kitchen for food, I walk V-E-R-Y S-L-O-W-L-Y past her.

I guess I think she won’t actually SEE me if I walk almost motionless and tip toe past her. Most of the time it works!

Other times, though, Elsa is sweet as pie to me. We were thick as thieves when we first came here together in 2007. She’s OK, I don’t mind, she’s being a cat! She still comes to lie beside me from time to time, deliberately and on purpose, knowing that I’ll wash her face and clean her off.

So I must go and pretend I don’t know my birthday is coming up (but I'll leave some hints) and try not to think about the nice presents Dad has undoubtedly bought me! If I had a pitch pipe, I could meow “Happy Birthday” in tune, as a hint!

Love, Ginger xo

Further to my past diary, would you like to help the very worthy Woods Humane Society (where Julie’s kitties were taken) save more lives, and win $100,000? Once a day, up until this coming Monday APRIL 16 you can vote.

Easily, you can go to votetosavelives.org

This is the ASPCA’s $100K Challenge. Please help Woods Humane, & save more animals, by voting!

The background info about Julie is further down if you have not read about Julie.

Unfortunately the Woods Humane Society is about #54 on the list so as many votes as you can by you, your family and friends, (if you have several email addresses that might work too) can help push Woods Humane closer to #1. Especially since they’ve been such a help to Julie, particularly in that they don’t euthanize, thank goodness.

We sent a ‘Happy Spring’ card to Julie, with your names in it if you sent us a paw mail to include your names. We’re soon going to send her a “Welcome to your New Home” card with your names in it (and anyone new who’d like to be added, just Paw mail me and we’ll add your names to the card and we will all be listed as “Your Catster Friends”).

Julie had to give up six of her ten kitties when she was forced to move because of her landlord. Five of her kitties went to WOODS Humane Society.

One of her kitties, Beijo, was recently adopted!
Two of Julie’s kitties are still at Woods Humane, waiting to be adopted, and they are pictured there: Marilia and Jules-Verne.

Anyone here in Catster can adopt them too!

You should go see how beautiful they are:

http://www.woodshumanesociety.org/

Graciela is now safely at a no-kill shelter called “Befriended Felines”. They will provide medication and sanctuary for Graciela for life.
Chief Red Cloud was quickly adopted (he’s so cute!)
Chief Joseph was adopted right before Julie’s eyes, at the time she was bringing in a couple of her kitties.

Julie now has only 4 kitties: Fuzz (16 yr. old), Autumn, Tiny Dancer and Squint.
Here is Squint’s Catster page. She is disabled and adorable:
http://www.catster.com/cats/1195127

We’re all hoping you can vote for Woods Humane Society to help move them up to #1!

Feel free to post this in your diary too so more votes can be given!

Thank you!

Love You All,
Ginger, xo

Thank you my friends for surprising me with gifties, pawmails, comments and photos for my Daily Diary Pick! I was surprised to be chosen! On the other hand, it was a sad evening when I found out that our friend Boo Boo went to the Bridge yesterday too (http://www.catster.com/cats/1169201 ). Her sister was Moma Ivey who also went to the Bridge so recently, on January 9. I know their Mommy is holding all your hugs near to her heart right now with losing 2 kitties so close together.

I have a little update to Julie’s kitties she had to depart with, which I wrote about in my last diary. I previously thought her kitty Marilia was adopted because she was not listed on the Woods Humane Society Website, but she is there now. So 3 of Julie’s kitties are at Woods Humane, waiting to be adopted, and they are all pictured there now.
The cute thing is Marilia has made a friend already! One of her photos features her with Xavier, a black and white kitty; they look so cute snuggling together.

Beijo and Jules-Verne have photos now too. Jules-Verne has such blue eyes, he’d be a dream to have at home! I’ll bet Julie would be happy if anyone in Catster adopted any of her 3 kitties and gave them a good Catster home! They had a home to roam around in once; and now they are forced to live in a smaller space. I bet it is a lonely adjustment for them. You should go see how beautiful they are:

http://www.woodshumanesociety.org/

If you still would like your name & your Mom and Dad’s names written in a “Happy Spring” card and “Welcome to Your New Home” card for Julie, pawmail me your names by the end of March 22. We will write all the names in a card for her. We want Julie to feel a little less lonely now that she has had to give up some of her kitties, due to a careless landlord and the apartment building being foreclosed.

My last diary was long, but it has all the details about what happened to her & the kitties. Here is one of her Catster kitties, and from there you can see her others. In her family there is also the link to her dog, Beau, with a sad story too. But there is a nice picture of Julie with Beau. Here’s her kitty Tiny Dancer and from there you can see the rest:

http://www.catster.com/cats/1192923

Congratulations to the 4 other kitties who shared Diary Pick honors with me yesterday: Punkin (#1237909), Nikita (#945025), Mietz O’Maui (#937054)(who was also, as of yesterday, Cat of the WEEK), and Bentley Angel (#280901)(who was Diary of the Day)! I hope you all got treats and hugs and kisses all DAY!

Maybe you have read about Julie in California having to give up 6 of her kitties when she was forced ...

Maybe you have read about Julie in California having to give up 6 of her kitties when she was forced to move when the apartment she was renting had been foreclosed at no fault of her own. In finally finding a new apartment within her budget, she could only keep 4 of her 10 kitties. This would be a heart break; we could not even bear to give up one kitty; how lonesome and empty she must feel.

Julie had taken very good care of her 10 cats, and now has only 4 (in the end she has kept the 3 with the most serious disabilities plus the oldest cat which would be hard to adopt out) (she was licensed to have all 10 cats too, and received unannounced inspections, which she always passed).

Julie is disabled and on a very fixed income and the search for a new apartment, and giving up her LOVED pets at the fault of her dishonest landlord, has been a horrible experience. She always fed them the good brands of cat food while she would eat cheap food herself when necessary. This whole experience has been very scary and uncertain for Julie. On top of finding a new place for herself and finding homes for her 6 kitties, and now packing up her apartment, Julie is helping care for her mother too (taking her to the doctor, etc.). She is such a good person. We cannot imagine having to go through being forced to give away our loved kitties who actually make our home the “home” it is.

I do not want her to feel alone in this tragedy and I thought of something easy for you all to do, which will let Julie know that a lot of us care about her. If your Mom or Dad will pawmail me their name, or just their first name if they wish, plus at least one of your kitty’s Catster I.D. numbers so we can find you on Catster, we will buy a card, preferably a nice Big Card, and write all your names in it and all your kitty names that are in your family, and we’ll mail it to Julie.

It will be a “Happy Spring” type of a card. Now, Julie is still in her old apartment and she moves on April 6. After that date we will buy her a Welcome To Your New Home type of card, and write all your names in it again, and send it too. Just pawmail to me some time before March 22, as we live in Canada and when we send a card to the USA it takes up to 9 days or less. I would like her to get this Happy Spring card before she moves on April 6.

Or if you'd like to send your own card, even a little card, pawmail me for my address and you can mail the card to me & I'll forward it to Julie.

One of her disability kitties Julie kept, and you likely fell in love with him when he was Cat of the Day, is Tiny Dancer, who is at:

http://www.catster.com/cats/1192923

From his page you will see Julie’s other 9 kitties she once had (How sad! She had to give away 6 of them in the last 2 or 3 weeks!). Of these kitties, besides keeping Tiny Dancer, she kept the oldest one, Fuzz, and the other 2 with the most serious disabilities being Squint and Autumn.

Julie right now is unable to even look at their Catster pages because of the memories they bring back. I hope one day she’ll be able to give them a look again, but I would imagine that will be quite some time in the future. Right now this truly devastates her.

Graciela is now safely at a no-kill shelter called “Befriended Felines”. They will provide medication and sanctuary for Graciela for life.

The remaining 5 kitties were taken to the lovely Woods Humane Society, a no-kill shelter, where Julie was once a volunteer.

It appears that Marilia and Chief Red Cloud were quickly adopted as they’re not listed for adoption (we saw Chief Red Cloud pictured there Friday but he’s not now. Of course, being as cute as he is, I can understand him quickly being adopted).

Chief Joseph, a Siamese, was adopted right before Julie’s eyes, at the time she was bringing in a couple of her kitties; an older woman adopted him. So now, on the Woods Humane Society site, the only 2 kitties left are Jules-Verne and Beijo who are both listed (without pictures) under ‘Adopt A Pet’. Once you are on the page for all animals, use the pull-down menu and choose “Show Cats” and then only the kitties for adoption will be listed:

http://www.woodshumanesociety.org/

Every little dollar is well-used. A dollar can buy 1 or 2 cans of food; so necessary! Even here at the Woods Humane Society website you will see a donation button. They accept any donation, large or small, it does NOT matter how much; not at all.

What is also appealing is you can donate in HONOR of Julie’s cats’ names, Beijo or Jules-Verne. I know my Dad will donate; for this humane society to ease up some of Julie’s great pain, they deserve rewards.

Even though she could not really afford it, Julie made donations to this humane society with each cat they accepted. What has happened to her in the last few weeks, and to her kitties, is just so distressing.

Catster kitty Art Blakey kept us up to date in his diary; and I’ve thankfully got lots of this information from his diary, and have been speaking by pawmail with his Mom. If you’d like to read more on how this all happened to Julie, little one year old Art (“Artie”), who is a 3 legger, is at:

http://www.catster.com/cats/1186381

We just don’t want Julie feeling any more lonely than she will be now and always. We could not do this letting go of one of our pets; I know this has been agony for her! Because of her landlord, she has to have become a hero to endure all of this.

Again, we don’t mind at all if you pawmail us your names and we’ll write them all in these cards for her. And I know any small donation to Woods Humane would be put to great use; they are blessfully a no-kill shelter. If you’d like to help Julie more than this, just pawmail to us or to Art Blakey’s Mom and let us know.

Thank You All And May You Find Good Luck For St. Patrick’s Day!

Ginger Girl
Ginger Wrist
Ginger All the Way.

Ginger Girl, Little Girl,

Oh gosh I wish I could thank every Catster kitty personally but I do remember your nice names! Thanks for your gifties & zealies and comments & everything, for my Diary of the Day honor on October 4!!

Tundra & Family and Pipo & Minko made me beautiful pictures for my page too!

The other lucky Diary Picks that day were Sleeper (#1172732), Nelly-Bell-May (#855526), Zack Frost (#1169986) and Pipo (#1079501)!

You might find me visiting your diaries in a day or two to say WAY to GO, because now I’m way behind and am trying to catch up! We don’t have high speed internet at home so moving around on Catster takes a very long time. You’ll likely wonder “Why is Ginger congratulating me today; she is days late!”.

When Dad got home last night, I was lying on the stairs and he said to me “Congratulations Ginger Girl, you were Diary of the Day today!” and I just stayed lying on the stairs, looking up at him with big eyes, smiling at him. It was a really nice smile! Usually I rush to the kitchen when he gets home, so I can eat!

But I think I knew that because my diary said I always rush to the kitchen, then tonight I decided to be the opposite and just stay on the stairs for a minute or two longer than usual! Finicky I guess!

Our friend Munchkin was able to return to Catster today! She’s a pretty girl and she is at:

http://www.catster.com/cats/1210188 .

A few months ago she had to leave Catster and she mentions a tiny bit of it in her diary. She often wrote in her diary and on Catster it’s difficult to get to know every new diary entry but we just like you to get a chance to meet a nice kitty who was able to come back to Catster.

If you have high speed internet it will take a second to drop in and see her. We don’t have high speed at home and each page can take several minutes, that is if the page (or browser) does not just disappear (which often happens)!

Sometimes we go and raid Dad’s office computer! (We put Dad in the Cat Carrier and drag him to the office; we want to write our diaries….No No, it’s not true; it’s just a dream; he drives there and types for us!).

If you’re lucky to have high speed at home, maybe you can say Hello to Munchkin, and ask her to be a friend, and make her feel just generally welcome. Welcome Back, that is! I’m sure you will. She’s very sweet; a pretty kitty.

Thank you all again!

Do you know that everytime Dad walks in the kitchen, I believe it’s time to eat (again)?

When he goes in there, it must be time for another bowl of wet food, so I follow him (even though we have all recently eaten). He says to me, “I already gave her food in the kitchen”. But doesn’t the kitchen mean it’s an eating place? No matter how often you go in there, don’t you eat? I look around and then see Elsa, and then Tabatha, and Tyson too have followed me into the kitchen….every time.

Can you imagine how many meals a day I expect that I should have?

But from what he says to me, I find out that I was wrong. Or I guess I don’t understand English very well!

He just does not want me to ruin my figure (anymore than I already have)!

Thanks Catster Kitties & Familes for your gifties, comments, pawmails and the photos made for me on my Gotcha Day yesterday! I was a surprise for Dad on July 21, 2007 because when he went to the Humane Society just to only adopt Elsa, he found me irresistible and took me home too!

When Dad got home last night he petted Elsa and I both, and told each of us separately: “Happy Anniversary! I’m so glad I got you, honey.”.

Next, I did one of my usual things: sharpen my claws on a cardboard box! Elsa sat with her paws under her, waiting for the food bowls to be filled. She is going to be groomed on Saturday with Tabatha so their fur will be nice and tangle-free!

Then as the food was almost ready, Elsa and I were first in line to be fed!

There is a new Fancy Photo, with a red/pink frame, that Rory & Family sent to me, which I’ve added to my page; it’s so well-made and shows my ‘cute look’!

As mentioned in my diary yesterday, below is my thank you list of the gifts I got up till now; aren’t they Beautiful?

Thanks We Bees Siamese for the Gotcha Day photo you made me and your comment!
Thanks Rory for the pretty Red Heart - and for the Gotcha Day photo you made for me!

Cody, and Oreo, and the Bush Furs, and Anna and Jezebel sent me really nice Pawmails!

Thank you also:

A Diamond from ‘Anonymous’.
Chocolate Cup Cake from Family of Tica, Hartley, Abby and Darian “Little Man”.
Red Adopt-a-pet Ribbon (so appropriate!!) from Da Tabbies O Trout Towne.
Red Adopt-a-pet Ribbon (really appropriate!!) from Beepers.
Beach ball from Family of Steinem in Memory, Winnie in Memory, Charley Bleau Eyes, and Tia Sydibil.
Ice Cream Cone from Family of Midnight, Popeye, Samantha Will Be Missed, and Peanut.
A Kite from Harley.
Red Lips from Milo, Smokey Joe, Timmy, Ziggy, Sam.
Red Lips from Alley Cat Angel, Calie, Littleboy, Booboo, Skids Kitty, Tiny Tot, Moe and Moma Ivey.
A Lovely Red Rose from Lucy.
A Pretty Red Rose from Queen Tallulah Angel In Pink, Xena Princess Warrior, Mia, Milo, Princess Tu Two, Zeke, and Kandi.
A Gorgeous Red Rose from Marrakech Angel, Misha, Samsara, Colette Sidonie-Samantha, Cappuccino and B.A.
A Red Heart from Tigger.

I’m going to keep ADMIRING ALL OF THEM!

Love and Thanks!

My sister Samantha recently had her Gotcha Day! Now, today is mine! Yes, on July 21, 2007 my Dad took me and Elsa home with him!

Dad is our Catster Secretary (I might sneak in something once in awhile!). And maybe you can guess that Dad needs a Secretary and that Secretary would also need a Secretary! Just to help us catch up!

I see some nice gifties and pawmails and comments I got, along with Photos from Rory and We Bees Siamese - Thanks to all of YOU!

I plan to do another diary to thank you more. But now Dad is going to work on Elsa's page. But first, he has to go to the Bank! And it's about 100 degrees here today, and he does want to go home to at least wade through the pool or something before it gets dark, or before a thunderstorm comes, based on the clouds in the sky.

Maybe he needs 4 or 5 Secretaries because if he's at the Bank or at the pool who will do our Typing!

Thanks All Again!

Thank you all for the gifties & pawmails on my Birthday, just yesterday on May 9!

I love the pictures which We Bees Siamese and Tundra also made for me and I put them on my page!

My dad will always remember my birthday in a special way now because yesterday he was away most of the day; it was sad for him because he was at his Mom's funeral. She died May 5 so we have not been around Catster as often as we wanted to be.

He visited his Mom a lot during April, and every day since April 29. She had a stroke early in April and she got continually worse; he and everyone were terribly sad. Now he'll be helping to send out Thank You cards to people who sent flowers & stroke donations.

He knew it was my birthday at last, when he got home May 9 and checked into Catster; Catster keeps us all informed about each other!

Thanks again to all of you and I'll be out to check out your birthdays too!!

The talented Tundra made me a lovely Easter photo and I hope I look pretty trim in it (I wonder..)! Thanks Tundra!

Annie the Junctions Spokes Cat (#1002413) is letting me use her words from her Feb. 8/11 diary. I thought it was a nice idea she had and felt it should be shared in other diaries.

And Annie wrote more about her wish in her diaries of Feb. 9 and 10, 2011. This is the Wish which is beautiful and I'm making it my wish too:

I want to make a wish for Easter. I want everyone to post on their Websites, Facebook and Catster pages.

Adopt a loving friend from a shelter for your Easter furriend.

It will be a gift, that will be in their hearts forever. Easter Candy and flowers won't. A loving Fur will.

If you know a lovely person or if you have a Sweetheart, who would love to give a forever home, now is the time to take action.

Don't go to a pet store. Go to a shelter and adopt the best Easter gift in the world. There is no better gift on earth.

But PLEASE make sure that your gift will be WANTED. Take your sweetie with you to the shelter to pick out their gift. You can't go wrong. That is truly a gift that keeps giving. Worth more the all the diamonds and gold in the world.

Forever homes are so wonderful. Give the best gift ever.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE and Thank You Annie!

Our Humane Society has had a renovation. Now, all the kitties are behind a kind of plexi glass window. But the cages have 2 or 3 levels so the kitties can climb up and down!

But the cats are not in cages with bars anymore. There is good ventilation though, because the wire bars are at the back of the cages which has a nice hallway back there so the cats can be fed.

But with these glassed cages, people can't just walk by the cats and brush their paw, or their fur. If someone talks to the kitty, it goes "Meow? What'd you say?".

However, people can tell the Humane Society which kitty they like, and go into a room and visit with the kitty.

But it's too bad there's no more opportunity for kitties to reach out through the bars, and choose (touch) their new owner (like I did! We work our magic that way and prove ourselves irresistable!).

So it is not as much fun visiting there as it used to be. The glassed cages makes it difficult to interact with the kitties.

Pet Smart still has wire bars on the cages and we like going there better; we can talk to and touch the kitties. And after visiting a few times the kitties there even recognize our voices! (Of course I don't really go there, but my Dad let's me know how things are!).

Do others feel they don't like the plexi glass cages too?

I would like to talk about a nice kitty I've known for a little while named Puff.

He is 15 years old but is close to renal failure and has a thyroid condition that Puff's Vet is watching and treating.

Puff joined Catster this past July 25 and has only 37 friends.

It's hard to get furriends if you are not Diary Pick, or Cat of the Day or Cat of the Week, but new kitties on Catster like we once were, find it hard to get into the routine at Catster, such as if you comment on a diary or photo, then that kitty will likely come and comment on yours. And kitties can send pawmails to congratulate the Diary Pick of the Day, if they cannot afford zealy gifties.

It takes new kitties awhile to learn all that. The new kitties can send friendship requests to other kitties but maybe they have not found out how to do that yet. Also the pawrents of the kitties might be quite busy, and can only visit Catster rarely.

We were drawn to Puff because he reminds us a bit of our Felix. And we want to be sure Puff is doing well.

We were hoping other Catster kitties might visit his page and see how nice he is being such a new kitty on Catster. And invite him to be friends.

Another Catster kitty, Freckles, and our family are the only ones who have visited Puff's page and left comments. Freckles recently had surgery and is doing very well now, being 17 years old! Very good for Freckles! But Freckles might be still recovering and too busy right now to go visiting kitty's pages.

Is there a Catster Get Well list where we can list kitties like Puff, who are new, but need prayers and purrs from us and by going to this list, the rest of us can send get well wishes to these nice kitties?

http://www.catster.com/cats/1146895 is the page of purring, magical Puff.

Thanks to all kitties here at Catster!

Alright, is this a publicity stunt by Catster? Nahhhh – it couldn’t be. Could it?

One of you sent it to us. Didn’t you????

Now we have different features to use! It makes me wonder, if I move one of my photos which has a comment on it, to a different spot on my page, does the comment move with the picture?

Thank you to all kitties on Catster who celebrated this honor with me with your sweet gifties and contacting me! I will be also contacting you too; you're so kind to me!

My Dad keeps mentioning to me that I'm Cat of the Day and petting me and I look up at him; I think I understand what he's saying!

My routine for the day will stay the same: eat, nap, play a little with a pink sponge ball and chase it and carry it, use a cardboard box as my scratching post, ask for food often, nap again on the bed or at the top of the stairs so that Dad cannot avoid me when he goes to the basement, wash Elsa, run from Tyson and so on.

Thanks again very much!

Daddy brought me home today, to my Forever Home, July 21, 2007!

Hooray, Meowray!

When he gets home from work - I'll go and sit in my usual place - in front of the sink, in the kitchen!

It will be dinner time!

Sometimes, when he comes up from the basement, I'll be sitting at the top of the stairs and I'll Meow at him, and make him follow me to the kitchen, so he'll feed me (again!).

Munchkin is 4 today (June 16)!!! What a sweet age. I remember being that young, 12 yr. ago! - Where has the time gone?

She is new to Catster so I don't think the meow (the word) has spread (cat-called) yet! She's finding it hard to get around in Catster. We can understand THAT!

Maybe kitties can say Hello to Munchkin - she's very pretty! Her poor little page looks so empty without hearts, or flowers.

I wanted to view some Catster kitty pages and every time I went to some pages, my computer browser closed! This has only begun to happen in the new Catster; so it's upsetting me.

It makes me realize I don't have hours & hours to sit at the computer wasting my time at Catster like this.

For example, the new Catster has closed my browser completely when I visit Milo's (there is a heart before and after the name) Catster page and Margo RKN's Catster page too.

Who knows how many more kitties I'll never get to visit.

What have they added to Catster to cause this? Too many images or something else? We used to be able to see all kitties pages.

Sometimes we get a message on the screen "Slow Script". That means Catster has added too many images or some other junk (or litter box deposits) we can't see, to all their pages, doesn't it?

When we use our "back" button while we are in Catster, Catster closes our browser completely there too!

Anyway I WANT TO see more Catster kitty pages, if only I could!

Catster had best go back to being SIMPLER again, or it will lose many kitties who don't have hours to waste here.

I was thinking about how some kitties don't like rainy days.

We like when it rains.

The rain makes little noises so it keeps us looking here, and there.

The rain is something we can look at, and it goes everywhere, so we keep looking here, and there.

And we never go outside, our Dad would be scared to lose us and we like watching all the rain from our windows. A cat can be happy in one or two rooms but we have more than that. So we are very happy. We don't need the outdoors.

The outdoors is too big, we would not know whether to go here, or there.

And the cars are too dangerous.

We like being warm and cozy, lying on laundry in front of the window in the house. We love it!

Love, Ginger

Thanks sweet Zoey for noticing in my arrival story that my birthday is today, May 9. It made my dad sit up and take notice, because our birthdays sometimes slip his mind! Thanks for sending me my very first cupcake too, I can eat it now - today. But my birthday this year has fallen on Mother's Day, yet it was my sister Tabatha who was born on Mother's Day (May 12, 1996) so is it her birthday today or mine? I dunno! My dad gave me kisses for my birthday today anyway. He gets very emotional with me many times, because I was the surprise kitty he had not planned on getting. He feels so rewarded that I came into his life because I'm so loving to him which he didn't expect. He cannot believe how a family had given me up, but so glad he got to have me. He loves the unusual way I turn my head when I'm being petted, he has never seen it done the way I do it. I've been catnapping on the bed today then got up behind him where he is at the computer and I tapped his shoulder and purred. So he sat with me and I kneaded the blankets like I always do! I got brushed too, I love that! Many kitties remember Rocky Ann who is Zoey's (Catster 1115470) sister. Zoey is as caring as Rocky Ann was and I thank her again! Zoey has a cute brother too! So even though I'm five years old today, I can say Happy Mother's Day to their mommy, and all Catster mommys, too!

Are other kitties like I am? Even though I've already eaten a few hours ago, when I want to eat again and if my dad is in the kitchen, at the sink, I stay right by his side, eyes gazing up at him at every moment, hoping to be fed again, even though I'm not really hungry (he thinks!). EVERY time he looks down at me, he sees my look of love, looking up at him, my eyes don't leave his eyes. When that does not work, I prop myself up against his legs, claws digging in, not to be mean, I'm just holding on! Sometimes he gives in, but when he doesn't, I finish up the bowl of food I half-started eating. He thinks I'm either not really hungry, or that I want something different and that's why I won't leave the kitchen! Do I live up to my name? Ginger - like a ginger-snap!

Good news! Oreo (Catster #175963) came home! She was missing since April 2/10 - she was gone 11 days! This shows when kitties get lost outside, how scared they become and so dis-oriented that they're not even sure if they are in their own back yard or not. Her mom had come home to find the window screen pushed out of the window and Oreo was gone. The loss her Mom must have felt not knowing where her kitty was...this will make us all double-check our screens! Oreo's diary shows many ways her Mom spent time day by day, in trying to find Oreo - such as leaving food in a trap, and so on...Her Mom wrote in the diary today, "I went outside to check on the trap and SHE was inside of it, crying to me, so vocal. She knew me the minute she saw me. She was skinny of course, and full of ticks...I'll have to get her to the vet, she looks good and went right to the food and water. She looks so tired and all my other animals were apprehensive when she came in the house, but SHE'S HOME!" We say: Congratulations to Oreo's MOM!
If any kitty would like to, go and Welcome her Home and show her what our Catster Family is!

Love to ALL who are Safe at Home,
and those we hope are (we're SURE they are) on the way HOME!
Love,

I got to meet my new 1 year old brother, Tyson, face to face on Monday, May 18/09. Since he is new to our house, when his first 10 days with us was over, he no longer had to be separated from the rest of us anymore. When we met we stared at each other, with no hissing, I casually walked into his room and used his new Cat scratcher. He likes to lie down on it but I know how to USE it! I still always sleep outside his bedroom door, at the top of the stairs, even though he's not in the room anymore. He's always roaming all over the house and likes to chase and play with my sister Elsa. He also likes to lie down a lot and he is often sitting in the window upstairs. He is a very calm little boy and we like having him with us! My daddy can still always find me cat-napping at the top of the stairs. When I'm hungry I do not leave the kitchen at ALL, until I'm fed. Those are the two places I can be found at (lately! Some of us kitties change our favorite places every few months.).

On Friday May 8, 2009, I was smiling here, because on May 7/09 I got me a new brother named Tyson. He is a white kitty but has an orange tail and orange on his face and legs. I think he likes orange creamsicles because of the milk that's in them but it looks like he overdoes it! For the first 10 days he's with us he has to be in a room alone which is what the Humane Society told us. I did that too when I first lived with daddy. And I am the perfect little mommy kitty to Tyson now, because I lie outside the door, day and night, and play pawsies under the door, with Tyson's paws.
