Arrival Story:
When we bought our first home, we went looking for a cat to adopt. We saw Charlie, and knew that he would be perfect for us! He wasn't available, though, until the day we got our keys to the house. We went to pick him up, and he was gone!! So, we picked out another cute kitty, who was not available until the next moring. We returned the next morning to see that the other kitty, too, was missing! We went to the counter and asked what was going on, there was no way someone could have adopted this cat in the five minutes the shelter had been open that day. They told us to go to the pet store where they had taked some animals to be shown for adoption. When we got there, I told the volunteer our story, and she asked me to describe the first cat we had seen. Lo and behold, she had Charlie! Only, he had been quarentined due a nasty cold he had acquired. They were so happy to adopt him to us, because no one else wanted to take a sick cat.
