So today was my turn to go to the vets for my shots and exam. Mom was much too confident that she could do this alone and tried to get me in the carrier without help from Dad.

I am still quite the scaredy cat and when she had me in, she didn’t get it zipped fast enough. Out I jumped. I gave her another shot at getting me in. She messed that one up too. I then hid in back of the sofa and I was not going today.

She called our vet and told them that she would have to find a substitute. Who also needed to come to see Dr. Joe? I sat and laughed as she decided Nonny was drawing the short straw.

Dad went upstairs and grabbed her. Before she knew what was going on she was out the door. teee heeee

On a serious note. Our family is thinking of all the families affected by the tragedy that occurred in our country 9 years ago today, September 11, 2001. Our thoughts and prayers are with you on this tragic day. We also are thinking of all the service men and women and their families. Especially those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice. We appreciate all that you do for our country to protect us and keep us safe.

I am hard to catch and was supposed to go with Mercy one day. Pebbles became my substitute! The next time I was sleeping in the fish bed and mom closed up the opening with her hand and them gently poured me into the carrier. Yep, never went into that bed again!

That was very sneaky of you!! I don't like going to the vets either! We are also thinking of 9-11 and our prayers are with those who lost their lives and their families they left behind. We too thank all the service men and women for what they do every day to keep us safe and free.
