We are all free.....

Just a brief note to let all of my friends know that all of us infected kitties are fully recovered. We now have regained full run of the house. I am thankful to all of you that Purrrrred so hard to pull me thru. I don't know if I would have made it without any of you.
I have scarring on the inside of my mouth. The vet said I will never lose it.
But I am alive & well & just as needful of attention as I was before.

A transfur....

Hello all, Hope every cat is fine. I am starting to act more like ME. Today while Mom had me up on her chest, I nipped at her nose. I had not done this since I first got sick.
Also, We were denied release from kitty jail today. We tried an escape. It was a dismal
failure. However it made the humans realize that we were not happy in the basement.
Guess whaat my Mom done ? She moved all of us , 1 cat at a time to the 2nd floor front guest room. We are now guests right ?
This room has a window that overlooks the front yard & Street. Dad has even put a kitty ledge there for us. Trouble, Pitch & I are all happy to sit & look out side... Scaredy has disappeared. She made a break for what the humans refer to as the Kitty only zone. It is a 2 to 3 foot high tunnel that runs along side of the hallway, along the slant of the roof. Scaredy can't get out any other way, but she knows that they will not chase her. they can shine a flashlight & verify that she is content & still there. So I think that we are 4 out of 4 HAPPY CATS.
Only 29 more Days til freedom..........

A brighter update

I want to start this entry by thanking all of YOU for the continued rosettes, purrs, prayers & P-mails. I am actually doing well.
Saturday found me once again going to the Vet. He says that I am out danger of going to the bridge now. It will be a long recovery but told Dad & Mom that I am doing wonderful, for the condition I was in. I will probably have recurring bouts of respiratory issues for the rest of my life. He could not say this for sure as we do not know how badly the lungs were affected. BUT, I am getting well......I am out of the woods so to speak..
Now the bad news for me is that I still am doing 30 days past the time all of the visual signs disappearing. I want my Family... I am also the reason Pitch, Scaredy & Trouble are still stuck in captivity. Hope they don't hold a grudge.

The road to recovery

Hello all,
I do believe that I am on the road to recovery !!!
Mom is not having to feed us every 4 hour by hand. We have all started eating some on our own.
I don't like the meds, but Dad has assumed that duty . We are only taking them 1 time a day now. I still am on pain meds that the others don't have to take. But I had the worse case apparently. My mouth is looking much better, But my sinus lesions must still be bad as I still have the bloody mucus running from it. Pitch has no mucus any more. Scaredy & Trouble still have it occasionally.
We are all ready to get out of quarintine, but that is at least 30 days away. thevet says that we can carry the virus for that long after all symptoms have gone. We can only hope for escape or early parole. : )
Thanks for all the purrrs & prayers. I am sure that all of my friends purrs are a source of my healing.

Yet another vet visit

Hello all, Thank you for all the love & purrrs. You all have sure brightened my page with rosies. I am extremely grateful.
I have just returned from yet another vet visit. I am happy to say that Pitch & Trouble
seem to be on the mend already. They both are eating & drinking now. Scaredy is eating a little on her own.
As for me, I had to go & get fluid & vitamins injected today. I have scratched mom up cause of this syringe feeding. I don't like it !!!! The vet give me additional pain meds. I am to have it once a day. He said to try to feed me about an hour after the meds. My lesions
in my mouth cover more surface area than they did Saturday, but they are not as deep as they were. That is a good thing. I still have lesions in my sinus cavity & that is still giving me a bloody nose. They think I will have a long haul to full recovery, but also that I will have one. Just keep the purrrs & prayers coming.
I Will keep you updated as the conditions change.

after Vet Visit

We just returned from the Vet. I am afraid that the diagnosis is actually worse than an electrical burn. It seems that I have contacted a Calici virus. The vet said that this is not treatable. It has to run its course of 7 to 10 days. It is most common in shelter animals. How I contacted this is anybody's guess.
He also said that 20% of the times this is fatal. However, I am healing since my visit
there on Saturday. The lesion in my mouth is smaller by about 1/4. I am a lucky one, I think. However 2 of my siblings are now showing signs of this. so we are all 3 in quarrintine in the basement. Please send purrrs for Pitch & Trouble. I hate that I have infected them.
Also please pray that none of my other siblings develop this thing. Mom Is not sure that the 2 older kitties would survive a case as bad as mine.
