Sniffing the Tree

I love Outside. I'm not allowed to go there but I have made it out on occassion, and I really love it. Once I got out for a whole night and got the living snot beat out of me (so says Mom) by a cat much larger than me. I almost died. You would think I'd learn my lesson, but... no. I still love Outside.

My favorite thing to do when I finally get Outside is sniff the tree. Every day I watch and wait for my chance. Being that I'm a rather portly cat, my humans tend to underestimate how quickly I can move when I see the opportunity for tree sniffage within my grasp. So every few days, when their guard is down, I make my move. Most times I have success! I reach the tree and get a few seconds of sniffing in before they come get me and take me back Inside.

It's been a few days since I've paid a visit to the tree. I'm beginning to forget what it smells like. Perhaps tomorrow I'll get my chance...

Mookie

Wow- my humans are the best! They got me this great toy called a Mookie.

Mookie is a whole lot of fun! (Although, he is very dirty I've gotta tell ya. I am always washing him, trying to get him cleaned up.)

I'm a much happier cat now, and I'll even share my fish with him.

My New Brother

I just found out today that the humans are getting me a brother. I've been pretty bored lately with only that old dog to play with (though it is fun to pounce her when she's sleeping!). A new cat around here would be good. Maybe he can help me figure out how to get into the rat's cage.

Just as long as he doesn't eat my salmon...
