Long Time!

Good Bastet, it's been a while!

Back in March, we moved. And not just across town, or across state, or across the US...we flew over an ocean!!!

We were told Daddy got orders to go to Germany, so we all went. We visited people in Ohio---I got to meet Hercules! We stayed in a couple hotels (I like those, so many smells!). And I went on my first plane...that was not fun.

I got to be next to Duke the whole time, who was soooo nervous it was annoying. I got all the attention from the old ladies at the airport, but once we landed, those Germans paid a lot of attention to the damn dog.

Ah well.

We're living in an apartment on post. It's small, I don't have as many places to hide, but it has big windows so I get to sleep in the sun a lot, when it's out, which isn't often.

My people decided to start a pet care business, so we've been having dogs in and out of the house. *hiss* I mean it's not too bad, I like supervising them, but still, they're so rowdy!

All's well, though. I like being an Army Brat Cat!

Holiday Season

Well, I've finally gotten used to Duke. Whenever he's playing with me (which I actually don't mind) and he starts to nip or lick (GROSS!) I can just hiss and dig in my claws a bit. It's fun!

There's this really pretty tree in out living room with these bright boxes underneath. It's so much fun to run around them and hide from Duke!

Momma's been asking if I want a couple playmates. Uh, no thank you! That would mean even LESS attention for me and that is not ok! I like just having my brother from another mother, thank you ^..^

Time to soak up the late morning sun. Mreeeeow!

I'm BaaaaaAAAAAck!

So our laptops got sick, Momma said something about a virus? She tried getting to the library as often as she could but when she did she said she just hopped online to check her email & Facebook, then went and checked out books.

Sorry to have abandoned you!

And guess what? I have a new "brother"!!!

He's a German Shephard mix, so I guess really in the animal world he's a distant cousin, but the people-parents adopted him. He's a lot of fun, although he's really weird sometimes. Like, licking my butt. And that loud sound that comes out of his mouth when he sees people outside. But I like having someone around the house when the folks are gone.

Hope Halloween was fun and I know I'm looking forward to Turkey Day!

A Few Days

I know, it's been a few days! Sorry cats!

Mommy got a job, which means she's home in the morning and Daddy's home in the evening...not too sure about this, but there's only 2-4 hours I'm home alone, so it's not too bad.

And what makes it better? We have this new, big brown, comfy thing in the living room! It's shaped like a large "U" and Mommy and Daddy have ben sitting on it all the time. They never used to spend time in the living room before! I love it! I get to curl up in all these different spots on it, and now I always know where the 'rents are when they're home ;P

But, that's all that's been going on here. I've adjusted to my new diet of canned/dry food being fed to me.

OH! And the house is now all covered with spider webs and spiders on the INSIDE! What's Mommy thinking??? There's also a ton of other black cat images in the window and this ghost hanging off the ceiling. Humans are nuts.

Lovely Day in the Neighborhood

Or so I assume. I've been sleeping most of the day!

Played a bit with Momma after breakfast this morning. Her and Daddy left for a while, though. Momma asked Daddy if they could go to the zoo and it might be fun even though the whole city would be there for military appreciation day where everyone's tickets would only be five dollars. Sounds like a crowd. Not to fond of those!

So I got to catnap all day ^..^ Momma said they saw a bumch of my 3rd cousins...snow leapords, tiger babies, pumas, and lions. Oh to be a big cat that could roar...

ah well. I'll stick to my incessant purring. Once Momma pays some attention to me and plays with me a bit more

Just Another Hump Day

Another day, another day. ^..^

Two days ago, my people started giving me canned food for breakfast. YUUUUUUM! I love it! They give me a small scoop of dry food for dinner.

Yeah, totally not acceptable any more.

Last night, I was hungry! I had most of my canned food for breakfast, left a bit for lunch, but it was gone by 2p. Momma was home most of the day, so I was busy chasing her around the house and playing fetch.

Dinner time came, and she put out my dry food. Nope. I showed my distain when Momma showed me my food, bothering them while her and Daddy ate dinner, being very stand-offish when they tried to love on me. It wasn't until Momma was cleaning up the kitchen that she thought to wet the dry food.

Duh!

As soon as I heard her swishing the dry food around in the water, I was all over that bowl!

Not the same as the canned, but hey, it kept me from starving :)

Now if Momma will just get away from the office and give me breakfast....

Re-Bathing

Today started off good.

The furrents started giving me canned food for breakfast and a scoop of dry food for dinner, and I love it.

So, I wake Mommy up this morning, per usual, and she feeds me this delish whitefish & tuna food. yuuuuuum. I get a bit of milk, and we proceed to play with my pink feather and orange ball for a while. While down in the kitchen, messing up the runner, Mommy comes down and says,

"Ok Cheyenne baby, time to clean you up."

GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGrrrrrr

We go into the guest bathroom....she shuts the door....my fur starts to shed a bit more than usual.

And she tells me to just relax and enjoy it. ppppppsh I hiss, to no avail. She brushed me, wiped me down, brushed me again, clipped my claws, then sprayed my mouth.

Yeck. I'm currently re-bathing myself so I smell like me instead of flowers.

Momma's been letting me be curious.

I'm currently in the garage.

She started letting me out there about a month ago, but those two big metal things that sound loud and take me to the vet are in there so I wouldn't go past the step without running back in. Well, yesterday she was washing Kara K (her Mustang) and she left the door open, and I was nosing around. She didn't mind,

until I tried to visit the neighbors (we live in a townhouse so the garages are right next to eachother). She said, "I donno what is about you calicos and torties getting into other people's garages, but I won't let it happen again." She said her first calico, Callie, got her in trouble when she was little because Callie got into a guy's garage and she was sneaking around trying to get her out and the guy yelled at her...

Anyways, so now I'm out in the garage...the adventurous life of a cat!

Lazy Sunday

Daddy got up early---before Momma!---and fed me, and he's not too great about playing with me (he grew up with doggies, eck), so I went and slept with Momma. She played with me a tad bit,

but since it's Sunday, they were both gone all morning. Per usual, I slept. They didn't come home around their normal time, though. Momma came home ranting about some bad Brownies and how she wasn't happy with them this week and they play those nasty Sh!ttsburg Steelers next week...I wonder how bakery battles poo?

Anywhoo, she took me outside on my leash for a bit. It was gorgeous out! AND, I caught a moth! Queen Huntress, yes, c'est moi :) mreeeeow She dragged me in when the neighbors brought out their ankle-biting, four-legged furry football, PeeWee. I donno why, I could take him. Easily.

Weekend Fun

Momma was up late last night, and we had a midnight play session! I didn't have to run around knocking everything off the table and counters since she was throwing my mice around for me.

I rewarded her for induldging my crazies by sleeping on her all night :)

And she was up early this morning, too. Not sleeping very well, almost like she's adapting my sleep/wake habits. Anyways, she played with me again this morning, made her coffee and gave me my milk. Yumz!

I just got done dozing in the early morning sun.

Soon, it'll be time to play again.
