from one of daddy's cat group pages...
I wonder if you see me?
Can my little voice be heard?
I'm waiting here so patiently for you to come and take me home.
I'm young, I'm old, I'm playful, I'm tired.
I've had only one wish in life and it's very simple too,
to be loved and treated kindly, by someone just like you.
I'll give you my full attention.
I'll love you unconditionally.
If you'll just stop and listen,
you'll hear it's you that I'm speaking to.
So please stop just a minute and turn your eyes my way.
You'll see I'm looking for you and beg that you'll come today.
Sometimes I start to loose hope as the days and weeks wear on.
My voice is one of thousands.
I pray that mine is heard.
Dear Lord.....please let me be loved by someone.....please help me find a home.
Sincerely.....A Shelter Pet

Very touching and so very true
So true my wise friend...we all need that special someone to look at us and go 'yes, you belong here with me'.
When someone adopts us...they save our life.
We save their soul.
We are divine grace in fur.
Very beautiful Sir Blizzard.....mom feels the same way about all the kitties outside. We cannot possibly take them all inside, but how wonderful for them each to have a home. At least they get food, shade & clean cool water. Mom even gave them some of our old toys. Mom says they sure have her love, but she wishes she could do more. We three came in from being outside, so us kits know how lucky we are. Mom says she is the lucky one...purrs!
Daddy says he's lucky to have us too, Tigger.
lucky to have us, yes. Panda?? no
What a great poem! we love it and all of us have felt that way till we saw our Mom come and we caught her eye and now we all have a forever home no matter what!
thank you for sharing...this is what we are all about....giving love to our preciious furbabies and futre fur babies.
If Mom had lots and lots of money she would build a place for lots of homeless kitties and give them a forever home...that is her wish!
aww Zeke mom would love to do that to, if all the moms and dads that want to do that could do it I bet a lot of kitties and pups could have homes we might even home all the homeless.....purring for all the homeless babies I was once one

What Novi??? I can't hear you!!
Bilzzard that beautiful mate. Do you mind if I copy this and put it in my diary. It sums up my feelings on that every cat deserves a furever home and to know what it like to loved to a t.
no problem, mate. spread the mews
What a beautiful poem.
We purr for all shelter pets.
Very true Blizzard, I was a shelter boy and feel very fortunate to have a found a home.
This makes my peeplz want to have all peeplz to see this!! Most of us be rescued kitties who never went to a shelter, but our hearts are with all the lives who must pass through that way. We purr always for good forever families for them!
That made meowmy feel sad and glad at the same time...sad fur those who are still waiting and furry happy fur those who are 'gotcha'd'!
Mum wishes that she could give each and every shelter cat and stray a loving home.
Thanks for sharing that, Blizz. I'll add one more thing. Spaying just one outside cat can exponentially decrease the number of strays that might end up in a shelter. There are mobile spay clinics around the country which offer reduced rates for ferals, and sometimes have "specials" such as the "Boys Night Out" in our area that gives an even further reduction on neutering for that day. Worth looking into.
I was a shelter kitty too and even though I'm still very skittish. I'm very happy in my home. Thank you for sharing.
I was a shelter and foster home kitty before I went home with meowmie and I hope every kitty is as luck as me! Meowmie needs the tissue box when she reads this--she wishes she could take care of a zillion cats.
