Arrival Story: We were walking our dog, and she stuck her head in a little island of bushes. Out popped the heads of 3 kittens, so so young. Too young to be abandoned, they didn't even have all of their fur. All female, two looked extremely alike, mostly gray, with little white boots and certain white parts. The other was white with gray spots and patterns. I wanted a kitten really badly at the time, and some guardian angel in heaven gave me this precious precious gift. I told the cats to come home with us, and they all did. That night, my family agreed that they came to us for a reason. We kept them and raised them until they were all healthy again. We called a family member and asked if she would take one of the kittens. We figured if she accepted, we would keep one as well, and one would go to the humane society. She said she'd keep two! This was quite a relief for me! Well, the dog that found them in the first place pick the one that was best. Of course, she picked beautiful kitty Precious. She was the one that had basically a twin, but the one thing that helped us tell her apart was a spot on her back leg. After making sure she was the right cat, the other kitties went to their new home, and Precious stayed with us. That had to be one of the best things that ever happened to me.
Bio: Precious is a great cat and is affectionate when she wants to be. She plays when she wants to play and was the dominant female in her litter, and she makes sure the dogs know that too. I love my dogs but I love Precious in a different way. She's my very best friend and I would NEVER EVER trade her. She's the one thing that made me realize that I am in love with cats. It's hard for me to tell you how much I love her, because you can't express it with words. All of you out there with that special bond with your cat or dog or whatever, that's how I feel.

How I got my name: Well, my Mum was VERY little when she decided my name. She really wanted a cat, but never got one (until me of course!) Anyway, she was looking through a magazine with her grandmother, who knew how much she loved cats, and Mum remembered one single word she said when seeing that picture, "Precious". From that day she promised to name the cat she would get Precious. Years and years later, she got a cat. ME!! She changed my name multiple times, and was told, this is the LAST time you can change her name. She remembered the promise, and said, "Precious."
Hey everykitty, sorry we haven't posted in a while, but nothing that interesting has happened here MOL. I haven't gotten outside since the last time, thank goodness for Mom's sake.
It's really interesting how we thought we'd never see a kitty like me except my sissy, but here on catster we've seen a TON! It's funny how many blue and white pretty kitties are on here MOL! We just came to that random thought. Sorry there isn't much to report.
Precious the Russian Blue
I got out AGAIN! Mum was REAL angry with the person who accidentaly let me out. I mean, LIVID! I spent a real long time outside, and I almost came in twice, because I know Mommy misses me when I leave. Then she took out my food and my special treats because she was pretty sure that I would be hungry. I went for the food the moment she lay it on the ground! She scooped my up, gave me lots of love, and put me in our room. She brought my food and some treats for coming in. She was very happy that I came inside and hopes that I stay there! If we had a fenced in yard Mum would let me go out and play! But we don't, so I have to stay in.
Mum started feeding me in my room because the little dog tries to eat my food, so they pick it up, and then I get hungry, so she just put my food bowl in our room and I kinda like it there. If I could just get my water there then I'd be all set! But I like it out of the room too. Well I gots to go gives myself a nice bath because I was playing in the dirt and got meself all dirty!
The Inside Kitten,
Precious
I got 4 times in one week!!! This is a new all time record for me! I'm a little jealous of the kitten across the street, he's always outside. Mommy says that he never gets to come inside, and I would HATE that. I couldn't live without my naps in bed, being stroked by Mum, and spending late nights with her. Well maybe the late night thing, but it sure does help me relax during the day! Anyway, Mum was real real worried about me this time. It was dark again, and she had a hard time seeing where I was. That made her upset and worried. Then she came out again and again and again. Then one time her eyes were watering and she did that little voice she does when she's upset. I could tell she wasn't happy. She told me she was worried about me and wanted me to come inside. She said she'd give me treats, and that she loved me so much. That she needed me and missed me. I looked at her, and then when the big one opened the door, and Mum put treats inside the house, I walked inside. I love my Mommy, but I love being outside. Sometimes. I would not be able to LIVE as an outside cat, but that's just me.
Anyway, I have this getting out thing down to an art. I wait until the one that always slips up on letting me out take the pup out (They are so uncivilized why can't they just go in a box instead of going all the way outside to do their business? I just don't get it!). Then when the old doggy (she always helps me!=P) goes out, she walks very slowly, and I bolt out! This makes Mommy upset and worried, but I love it outside! She has nothing to worry about, I come back! She just loves me so much that she doesn't want anything to happen to me, and she's got me set to live to 25! I don't know if I'll last that long, but I certainly want to live longer than 7. Well, thanks for reading my super long dramatic story.
Mommy's Little Girl,
Precious
