Gotcha Day!

I am celebrating another Gotcha Day today! Meow!

Mom told me that she was talking about us with a couple of friends during a retirement pawty today. Gessh, she pawties and gets paid for it? I want her job.

Anyway, one of the friends had just seen our pages for the first time yesterday. The first question she asked Mom was why one of her cats was climbing the window. Mom knew she was talking about me. MOL!

Mom told her she really had no idea except that I probably thought it was a good idea at the time.

If you've read Riley's diary, you'll already know that he and Huey won a photo contest. We're looking forward to finding out what their hard work bought us. A special shipment is coming on Monday!

Crazy Daredevil Climber!

We're having some new pictures taken today, so I was in the computer room with Mom while it was Enzo's turn. One of the shutters to the window behind Mom were open and I was getting bored so I decided to make some noise!

Mom turned around to find me trying to climb up to the wood valance above the window like a crazy cat! I was too high up for Mom to grab me and I was unsuccessfully trying to climb to the top of the valance over and over.

All Mom could do was hold the shutter still and encouraged me to carefully jump down but I was being stubborn. She captured a few photos of me until I finally gave up, carefully climbed back onto the top of the shutter and then jumped all the way down to this little cat tree and sat in it.

I still have it in me!

It's my 4th Birthday!

Even though Mom added a new main photo of me yesterday, she forgot that today was going to be my birthday. What do you think the punishment should be?

Thank you to my wonderful friends for leaving me presents and messages! It's hard to believe I'm four years old already, but I'm still the baby of the family. Huey doesn't count!

After a few rainy days, this weekend has been filled with sunshine, so we're all having a good time sitting by the open windows and finding those nice sunspots. Ahhhhhh.......

The motion-activated camera we have on the front porch has been recording interesting visitors, aside from the people who drop off packages at our front door. We've seen spiders spinning webs, birds, a raccoon, and a few different cats! They don't get invited into the house because we all know they'd get beat up. MOL

Tube houses!

First, we all want to say thank you for the giant Easter Eggs on our pages!

Mom took the day off today and made us two tube houses from a pattern she found. When she looked at fabrics, she picked one with fishes with the boys in mind and one with flowers with the girls in mind. Of course, so far, Enzo has gotten into the flower one and Pebbles and I like the fish one. What was Mom thinking? She should know by now we share everything around here.

We're calling them tube houses because they're closed at one end. We're having fun reshaping them!

Pillow foot update!

Geesh, it only took me three months to update my diary and tell you what's going on with my puffy-paw-pads situation!

One of my paw pads was originally a bit raw but now it's no longer raw and all of my paw pads are close to being normal. The reason it's taken so long is because Mom has had a hard time catching me to pill me and I don't like pill pockets.

Mom didn't want to turn every chance she could grab me into a pilling session, so she had to alternate between giving me a pill and not giving me a pill, otherwise I'd never go near her, and I'm faaaast!

When Sofie had this problem the pills worked faster for her than it did me, but Mom still believes that the doxycycline pills do work.

I have Pillow Foot!

Well, looks like I have Plasma Cell Pododermatitis (Pillow Foot), or plump piggies, just like what Sofie had early last year. My pal Tasha knows alot about this stuff!

Now we have to go pick up some Doxycycline at the pharmacy. When Sofie took that stuff last year, her paw pads went back to normal and haven't plumped up again since.

We don't think it's the brand of litter we use. After Sofie was diagnosed with it last year we changed the litter. It hasn't stopped me from eating or playing.

The vet was happy to see my weight at 8lbs and said my name suits my weight or maybe it's my weight that suits my name. The technician was funny. She's kinda new and had never seen me before. She loved all the colors of my fur and then grabbed a bunch of her hair and said she had been trying unsuccessfully to get it colored just like mine!

Oh, and just when the technician was getting ready to take my temperature, I decided to express myself. How convenient!

I'll let you know when my foot pads are deflated back to normal.

Our order for two of the Fleece Catnip Bunny Foot Kicker toys arrived today and we went crazy over them. One of them is brown with polka dots, which matches my poncho, and the other one is blue with fishies!

We have a problem, we need more so we can share, so we're off to order two more for now! Huey likes them too, so we're only going to be able to play with them when he's busy doing something else!

THREE!

Today is my 3rd birthday! The last few years sure went by fast.

This morning at breakfast, instead of waiting for the food bowls to be filled, I jumped up on the cat tree and cried at Mom. She knew I wanted treats, so I got some Kitty Kaviar. If I could, I'd eat the whole can!

One thing that hasn't changed is that I still like to crawl under the bed at night with Mom and sleep on her chest with my tail on her face before I turn around. But, I never stay there for more than ten minutes or so because it gets too warm so I leave. Then, in the morning, I paw my way back under the covers by myself and end up sleeping for a long time between Mom's legs. The other morning she didn't want to get up to get ready for work because I was so comfortable, but it was either that or listen to Reebok continuously howl for breakfast!

Life is still good, except for that Huey dood! He's afraid of me, which makes me happy! We have to spend so much time supervising him we don't get as much computer time. I hope this changes soon because we want more new pictures taken of us so we could fill up all that extra space we have now.

Hiss, spit, growl!

I don't like Huey! He's a pest, always trying to mess with me. I hiss, spit and growl at him. Sometimes I act like I'm going to lunge at him and beat his bum and you know what? He barks and then runs away!

I've never met a puppy before him. He's just so immature!

On the Catster homepage again!

Thanks to my friend Xena for letting me know I'm on the Catster homepage again, this time demonstrating how to JUMP! I was on the homepage back in January so that's cool that I'm on there again.
