Arrival Story:
Scout was a feral kitten that wanted desperately not to be feral. She was born to a wild mother but always wanted to come in the house of my friend who has her own little no kill shelter due to a mother that keeps giving birth in her yard. She tames the kittens she can and gets them homes. She gave Scout to someone who could not deal with her so I took her. My heart was still hurting from losing my beloved Max and felt that introducing a new kitten to the home would help . She met my two Bo Radleys (the dogs) and thought she could handle them so she got the name Scout, the main charactor from To Kill A Mockingbird. She loves to be picked up and to sit in your lap to be petted. I do believe that since the best guess for her birthday was so close to when my Max passed, that Max sent her to me to help my sad heart. She has been a great comfort to me.
