Arrival Story:
In 2007 I lost my two best kitty friends, Cosmo & Maxie. I was devastated. I brought all their food to the Concord NH SPCA and went to check out the kitties. JoJo Louise was just laying around, sleeping (and her name was Peggy). I woke her up, picked her up and she went straight for the back of my neck. Her claws dug right into me. Come to find out, she only had 3 legs and no tail. That's the way she was born. I filled out an application and was told that JoJo was on hold for a little girl who had cancer and had to have her leg removed. So it was just me and my pup, Fenway, for awhile. I had gotten used to the fact it would just be me and him. I went on vacation and came back to a recording on my answering machine that circumstances had changed and JoJo Louise (Peggy) was available. I called right away and the next day, I went to adopt her. She didn't like riding in the car at all. I put a barrier at the kitchen door and let JoJo Louise (Peggy) walk around. I was afraid Fenway would go after her. But after about 30 minutes I realized they were both curious about each other. So the gate came down and JoJo and Fenway became the best of friends. They loved each other and they still do. I was going to name JoJo Louise, Josie but that's my Mom's name and it was just weird calling her by my Mom's name. So I chose JoJo...Miss JoJo Louise. We're one big happy family!
