Leave a treat for Luna

Nicknames: Lulu, Princess, Mad Pooper, Fatty Fat

Likes: lazing around the house, sitting in the windowsill, chasing after bugs, attacking our feet

Pet-Peeves: she hates when you go near her stomach

Favorite Toy: mice

Favorite Nap Spot: the windowsill or the couch

Favorite Food: Nutrimax Light (for indoor cats)

Skills: Would you call missing the litter box a skill?

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: My friend worked at a pet store in our town and mentioned they had kittens. I said I always wanted a kitten, so he brought one over with the Kitty Kat beginner set (litter box, scooper, litter, food bowl, etc)

Bio: When I first got to the apartment, I was really scared. There were all these people trying to cuddle me and play with me, but I just wanted to scope out my new pad. (The circle picture to the left is from my first day at my new home!) I saw a big white thing in the kitchen. It made a lot of noise, but it was sort of warm in the back. Being naturally inquisitive, I crawled back there to check it out. I crawled up inside the back of the machine and I couldn't get out!!! I heard my new mommy and daddy calling (i didnt have a name yet, they just called me kitty) but I couldn't get to them so I just started to meow. I meowed for a long time stuck in the back of the big white thing. Then finally i heard mommy say "wait....i hear her....OMG she's in the refridgerator!" Daddy moved the refridgerator away from the wall but couldn't reach me. So they did what any good parents would do - empty out the entire fridge and lay it on its side so my dad can take it apart to get me out! When they got me out I was so appreciative and nervous that I pooped on the floor!

Meow again, folks! I was just lounging around last night loving all the attention and rubs when I realized how lucky I really am. I almost lost my home (but I only lost one life - thank god I have 8 more!)
When I was just a kitten, my parents and I lived in an Apartment. Since it was on the second floor, it was always so hot upstairs, so mommy and daddy had the air conditioner in the window in the bedroom way early in the season. Back then, mommy and daddy still tried to give me rules, and one rule was that I was not allowed in the bedroom (something about getting all tangled in the miniblinds.....) But that day, my mom forgot to close the bedroom door before leaving for work! So there I was, all stretched out on their bed. I quickly got bored of that and decided to sit on the Air conditioner to watch the cars go by and the birds fly around when I noticed a small opening on the side of the window. Of course I was intrigued. I went over to the opening to check it out...and out the window I went!!!! I hit the floor and took off like a rocket to the nearest shelter I could find. So there I hid, under a big metal object until someone comes to find me.
My mommy came home for lunch that day. She went upstairs and noticed i was gone and she called my daddy right away. They finally discovered what had happened. My mom started to cry and my dad was sad too. She had to go back to work, so went back crying the whole way. She told my Auntie Andrea what happened, and she left work to find me. Daddy left work too and he and Auntie Andi searched the area.
It was getting late and the store under our apt was closing, so the workers were going to clean up. He moved the lawn mower and I meowed. He moved it again, and i meowed louder. The guy called out to my dad and Aunt "are you looking for a cat? I think i found it" So my dad lifted the mower and Auntie Andi scooped me up and ran me upstairs. My white fur was all gray and dirty.
Just then, my mom got home. She was so happy to see me! I was a little shell shocked. My parents understood and gave me some space to recoup. My mom made me tuna fish for dinner! Boy am I glad they found me!

Meow everyone! I'm so glad to be part of a group now! It's day one and I already have a ton of cool feline friends. Being an indoor kitty, I don't get to hang out much with the other cats on the block. Its ok, though, because I know that my mommy and daddy just love me and want me to be safe. (Its better inside anyway....free food and its always warm!)
Speaking of warmth, my favorite thing to do (besides eat!) is sitting on the windowsill and watching the world go by outside. The kids on the block meow at me as they walk by and sometimes I even meow back! :) But when I see mommy's car pull into the driveway, that means it must be dinner time and I rush to the door to greet her. She picks me up, gives me squeezes and kisses then pours some food into my little pink bowl where I proceed to CHOW DOWN!
When I'm done with that, I like to lay on mommy's lap on the sofa and wait for Daddy to come home. Sometime's I try to trick him into thinking mommy didn't feed me, but they are smarter then they look. Its ok, though, cause I know i will guilt them into feeding me again later! teehee
The best time is bed time. As soon as mom and dad are nesteled into their bed I always find my way next to them. Mommy even lets me put my head on her pillow sometimes! It makes me chuckle on the inside when I wake up in the morning and see that i have stolen the covers again, and mom and dad are squished into a corner, while I have all the bed! They spoil me rotton and I love every minute of it!
Yeah, life at my house is good.
