Coloration: Tabby and White
Likes: Rolling on the kitchen floor or the carpet upstairs. Getting the top of her head kissed, and giving headbutts right back.
Pet-Peeves: None. She has a few things that make her squawk a bit but sh's too even-keeled for a real pet peeve.
Favorite Toy: The black and white mouses and the all-white mouses.
Favorite Nap Spot: My bed or the carpet upstairs.
Favorite Food: She needs to have either CD or Royal Canin UR, but she won't have one, nor the other -- only a 50/50 mix.
Skills: She brings me toys from upstairs. Usually, there are several waiting for me in the morning.
Dwells:
indoors
Arrival Story: About a year after Junior wandered into my life, I was again sitting on the front porch with my next-door neighbors and we decided to check on the house next to them to see what strays where there. Two new kitties were on the steps. I nabbed one and even though she was still a very little thing, she had obviously just had kittens and either they were dead, or she wasn't concerned about them and they would be. I took her upstairs and in the next 24 hours realized she simply HAD to be related to Junior, certainly a half-sister. They looked amazingly similar, her actions and reactions were amazingly like his, her characteristics were like him... Since Junior was more than 10 years younger than my next youngest, and would grow old alone, I decided to keep Tethys. At first I was going to call her Minnie (as in "Mini-Me) but decided she deserved her own distinctive name, so I called her Tethys (pronounced Teth-iss), after one of the Titans (the parents of the Greek Gods -- google it and read Tethy's sad story).
Bio: Like Junior, Tethys doesn't have a single bad trait, not a single bad characteristic. She has a tiny voice while he has a big loud one; she speaks chattingly while in the same room but he shouts while in a different room (calling me to come play). She has circles on her and more black, while he has stripes. Tethys didn't turn into a fully fluffy Wegie kittie as Junior did last Christmas (at about 2 years old) but our heros Smudge and Sissel say they didn't get totally Wegie-fied until their 3rd year. So we will wait and watch. If the length of her prodigous whiskers is any indication, she is going to be reeeeally fluffy!
Lives Remaining: 8 of 9
Forums Motto: Size matters if it comes to whiskers!

Fluffkins Factor: January 2008: Tethys Fluffkins turns 2 this month and we all expected her to have her full-on Norsk Skogkatt coat by now, as Junior did a year ago. But it just isn't as long as his yet. We checked with our Wegie heroine and hero (Sissel and Smudge) and Sissel says she didn't get her full coat until she was three. So we're still watching and waiting, assuming the females take longer to mature in this slowly maturing breed: http://www.kittykitty.com/cat-breeds/norwegian.html
Fluffkins Factor Part 2: Mom continues to have a hard time believing there is even one reason why Junior and I are not from the same mother, or father, or both. Junior and I both go upstairs and then call for Mom to play with us (she's never had a cat do that before). Junior and I both wriggle on the floor at dinner time (Mom's never had a cat do that before). Junior and I both prefer to eat late. Junior and I look so much alike that if Mom isn't paying attention or has a bad angle, even she gets confused. The list goes on. Mom really wants to find the Weggie factory nearby who puts us out onto the street.
My big brofur Junior Fluffkins is entered in the World's Coolest Dog & Cat Show! I'm so proud of him!! He's entered in the Craziest Tail competition with one of my favorite pictures.
I am asking that any of you who are interested to please take the time to vote for him. Here is the link:
Dear furs, anyone who reads this,
We are asking all furs big and small to purr and all their two-legged furmily to pray for one of the best of the best, who is not well: SISSEL.
Sweet Sissel, her brother Smudge, her dogs she loves, and her family do so much for Catster and Dogster and do so much for the animals in need. It is our turn to do what we can to help them. They believe in the power of the paw so I hope you will visit Sissel's page with thoughts of the power of the paw in your hearts and minds.
And I hope all the Angels will sprinkle Angel Dust to help them all get her back to good health. You can read about it in her diary.
This morning I have been especially sweet to my Mom because today is the first annifursary of our Angel Tutti being sent to the Rainbow Bridge. I can't believe she has been gone so long already! It's been hardest the past few months for some reason, as Mom has more and more been seeing what Tutti used to do and now doesn't or where she used to be and now isn't. I've taken over the chair in the sunshine where Tutti spent so much time. It me about 8 months to get to that point. Mom finally moved Tutti's bed in her office, 11 months later and only because she needed to put Sammy upstairs in one room for awhile and thought that bed would be warmer. Stuff like that.
Anyway, Tutti used to love to be picked up and held, with her little paws over Mom's shoulder. Sometimes they would look at each other in the mirror that way so Mom could be sure Tutti saw how beautiful she was. This morning, I came to see Mom after her shower and she picked me up (I like this sometimes) and I sat with my paws over her shoulder, and I purred and purred and purred. I let her scratch my ears and I turned my head to give her a headbutt and just held my head against her arm. And we looked at each other in the mirror. And I purred and purred for her. And we had a very nice time and I hope I made her feel better.
Tomorrow we open presents for us, but today we remember Tutti.
