Coco died June 14, 2008. He was having seizures, two on Friday the day before his death and could barely walk. Could not jump up at all. He was extremely toxic when his urine was checked, off the charts yet he had no fever. Old age finally caught up with him our vet said. Coco was 17 this past March. He was very sick and much too sweet and we loved him too much to make him suffer longer.
Coco had a good life, slept where he chose which in the past year or so was with me. He had become cold natured and liked to cuddle next to me on a warm blanket. He and our little Pekingese dog (Laci Noelle) got along great and she has missed him, searched for him since he did not come back home with me from the vets. I chose to euthanize him rather than have him continue suffering the awful seizures which obviously confused him and each one made his walking ability worse. He had always been too sweet and too loving to have to suffer until a natural death. It would not have been many days but he deserved a better end to his life than to go out in that manner. I was with him, loving him to the very end. I miss you Coco and I will love you always. Mom

My life started in a cattery over in GA where my Mom came and got me and took me home with her. I was only 3 months old and my breeder was trying to sell me to breed other cats. Mom saved me and brought me home to be just a pet. I guess that's good, BUT, she had me neutered at 8 months of age so I never got to find out what the breeding business was all about.
When I came "home", Mom already had 5 other Persian cats. Her and my human sisters loved cats! Then they got into showing some of us and before it was over, Mom had 10 cats. Whew,,,too many, let me tell you!! I did not like a couple of them at all, they wanted to be boss!!! One got so mean, she had to have a new home found for her where she could be the "only" cat. I went to shows a few times but 'I' did not like traveling. I got my Championship and my Premiership and then Mom let me stay home. She says the last trip they took me on, I kept her and my sis up all night long. 'heh heh heh' Guess I finally figured out a way to stop that bathing and grooming and riding for hours. Us cats are smart, don't be fooled!
I am the only cat left here now and what does my Mom do? She goes and gets a Pekingese dog!!!! Well, I taught both the first one and the second one who had been here longest and Laci, our Peke that lives with us now, leaves me alone most of the time. We play a little now and then but when I get tired of her, I can jump high and she can't. Meeowww Our first Peke died much too young but this one seems to be as healthy as I've always been so I guess she will be here from now on. Mom loves her so I guess I'll try to deal with it.
I'm 15 years old now but still very healthy although I'm not very active these days. I like to sleep and eat and sleep and eat and that pretty much covers my activities. I do get petted in Mom and Dad's laps, I simply present myself and what can they do??? They better scratch my head and behind my ears.
Mom has loads of pictures of me but they were all made before she got the digital camera and now she doesn't have her scanner hooked up so we may not get any of my older pictures put up. I am a handsome boy Mom says and everyone talks about my pretty blue eyes. If I could blush, I might!!!
That's all for this time, talk to you again when I think of a funny tale to tell you.
