Arrival Story:
I found Meme tangled up in a bunch of long weeds at the edge of my mom's yard, crying her tiny head off, early in the summer of 2001, just after I moved back home from grad school. She was a tiny little ball of fluff, probably not quite 6 weeks old, covered in dirt, and appeared to have gotten lost from her mother. We gave her a bath, and snuggled her up in a towel. She purred happily in my lap, and has been with me ever since. Although quite skittish, she's very affectionate with people she knows.

Bio:
Meme's "mate" (although all our cats are neutered) is Zach. She initially made friends with him when I moved from my mom's house to a duplex after grad school. Meme adapted to the new space easily, but Zach was pretty freaked out and hid under the bed, howling. Meme went under the bed and hung out with him, comforting him it seemed, until he was ready to come out, and stuck by him as he acclimated to the new space. Meme's nemesis is Sybil, mainly because Sybil has always been jealous and unfriendly to her. Meme's friends are Luna and Sya. She has also been making friends with our newest addition to the family, Sheba.
