Leave a treat for Samantha (In Loving Memory)

Nicknames:
Shmoo, Sammi, Sam, Shmooey-Pooey Poo-Poo Head

Quick Bio:
-mixed breed

Likes:
Samantha loved being held and cuddled, and was like a big ragdoll. She also loved, indeed cherished, a bright spot in the sun.

Pet-Peeves:
Her brother, Lafite, chasing her around the house. It really made her mad. Talk about the caterwauling!

Favorite Toy:
A soft, cylindrical catnip toy that made a crinkle noise. She would wrap her paws around it, bite it, and bat at the end with her back feet.

Favorite Nap Spot:
In the middle of my decorative pillows on my bed.

Favorite Food:
She was a rather picky cat, actually. For the most part stuck to her regular "cat" diet of Medi-Cal low protein. Sometimes she enjoyed turkey coldcuts or fresh chicken (but would not even touch tuna!)

Skills:
Her special skill was laying around. She was the most mellow cat on earth ... very relaxed, very cuddly. Second best skill - waking me up in the morning by playing a paw on the mini-blinds or gently pawing my face.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
Samantha was born March 18 to my sister's Persian. She was the third in a litter of four kittens - two males, two females. My mother had promised me that when the kittens were born I could keep one. Originally I wanted Samantha's older brother, Bandit (they looked very similar), but was told I had to pick a female because we'd had issues with male cats and urinary tract infections. So I chose Sammi. I like to believe fate forced my hand - I could not have had a more perfect cat!

Bio:
Samantha passed away August 10, 2003 after 16 1/2 years of pure bliss. During her lifetime she met many friends, shared a home with a tiny little dog named Shayna, traveled (Houston to New York to Calgary), and enjoyed much spoiling. She was the best listener, my most trusted confidante, and ultimately my most cherished friend. Truly she was my baby. I never stop missing her, and I'll always remember the joy and fulfillment she brought to my life. Rest in peace, little Shmoo.
