Arrival Story: Roscoe was born to my Beasley (siamese) and Cleo (maine coon calico) on 3/11/89. I assisted in the birth and he quickly became the choosen one. He lived a charmed, spoiled life (what we still refer to as the life of Roscoe.) He was and still is the BEST CAT EVER. Roscoe had a great life, including college life. These pictures were taken about 1 month before he went to the Rainbow Bridge. He had diabetes which we were treating but also had a tumor on his hind leg that ultimately took him from us. In his prime, he weighed 25 lbs but was down to a little over 8 lbs when he died. The good news is that he was in no pain and was sick for only about a month. Prior to that, he still zipped around the house like a lit up kitten! He went to the Rainbow Bridge on July 6, 2005 at 2:45 PM. There is not one day that goes by that we don't talk about him. Thank God for Chloe and Harley!

I was wondering if any cat wants to go the the bar with me today....today would have been my 21st birthday!!
I was born to Cleo (Long haired beautiful calico girl that Mom rescued in college. They people who had her thought it was cute to blow wacky tobacky (pot) in her face) and Beasely, a handsome siamese....what a combination that made!
I was a regal Maine Coon who acted like a dog (known as a cadog), would talk up a storm and when I cried, it sounded like a newborn. I loved loved loved my Mommy. I loved to crawl under her sweatshirt and sleep next to her heart.
She knew that I had to fly to the Bridge, it was my time. She never ever thought she would feel for another cat the way she felt with me. Boy, am I glad she was wrong! As you all know, Chloe is her very special and love princess and Harley is her large orange boycat. I'm so glad that she found those most special furbabies. They are the first she ever adopted....growing up on a farm, there were cats galore!
Okay...off to the bar. Do you think I'll get carded? Mom is almost 43 and gets carded once in a while. Boy, does that make her day!

MEOW!
Here is what I just observed from my wonderful spot at the Bridge:
My Mommy lit my candle in observance of my 4 years here at the Rainbow Bridge. It seems like forever ago,and yet , just like yesterday. Mom placed a bouquet of white roses, said a prayer of thanks that we were together for 16 1/2 years (almost) and a prayer of gratitude for Chloe and Harley. Four years ago tonight, they were stuck in a cold metal cage at the SPCA. They got the good life when my purrants whisked them away to their forever home. 4 YEARS AGO!
I miss my family so much but it was my time to fly to the Bridge to be restore to good health. I was a very very healthy kitty until the last year or so of my life when diabetes and cancer struck. My purrants made the selfless decision that I deserved peace and comfort, thus...here I am with my view from the Bridge.
Always and forever in our hearts. Roscoe P. Bearcat 3/11/1989-7/06/2005

I made my journey to the Bridge. Mom put pansies on my grave yesterday and remembered her "Scooty". I am still alive in the love that lives in her heart.
