Thank you all for your well-wishes. You guys work really fast. So fast, in fact, the vets decided surgery was not necessary at this time because I did so well over the weekend. And when they pulled the catheter this morning...um...how can I put this? Um..Elvis left the building in a real big hurry! They even let me leave the building after a while and I am writing to you from the homestead!
First, I'd like to thank my precious diary comment ladies, Violet, Chelsea Louise and Sam. I truly appreciate that you took the time to read my diary entry. Chelsea Louise even asked me to be her friend, which I gratefully accepted! This FLUTD is scary stuff, and it's nice to know a humble guy like me has these charming and beautiful ladies in my corner routing for my success.
I also received a power-of-the-paw gift from Nigel and family. My goodness! You have as many four-legged kids as we do! The more, the merrier! I got a healing rosette from the "Buddie's Well Wishers GANG," and thought, "if this doesn't get dissolve these crystals, nothing will!"
And a special thanks goes out to the forever divine Miss Hazel Lucy. She not only sent a get well rosette, she put me on her get well purr list. She's also a PA neighbor and the #2 Michael Vick hater (Mom's #1, based on her extensive tirades every time his name is mentioned or his sociopathic face appears on local TV! Hisssssss!).
Finally, I'd like to thank Mr. D for inviting me to join the FLUTD on Catster. I'm sure it will provide much needed information and support, and we really need both right now.
So thanks to all who are in my corner! So far, you've worked wonders!
Love, purrs, and all other good kitty things,
Biggie - at home!

What a week! And not a very good one, either. I asked my Aunt-Mommy (Mommy's sister, although my Aunt-Mommy says she's every cat's Mommy!) to write this for me and ask for everyone's purrs.
Seems I developed struvite stones this week. On Wednesday, I blocked and couldn't pee. My Aunt-Mommy, who had spinal fusion surgery on 9/16 and shouldn't lift me because I'm 11.7 lbs, called Mommy and asked her to leave work and take me to the vet. At the vet's office, they put in a catheter, well, you know where, then cleaned out my bladder, gave me meds and sent me on my way.
I felt fine and all was well until Friday morning, when I blocked again! So, back to the vet's office for the same procedures! UGH! I stayed overnight, and was then transferred to the Emergency Vet's office Saturday afternoon, so I could be monitored 'round the clock until Monday morning, when I'm scheduled for PU surgery.
I don't know how long after surgery before I can come home, but I'm really starting to miss my family and they really miss me! I can't wait 'til this is over!
And I know I'll get first rate care when I get home because Aunt-Mommy pmailed the exceptionally handsome Sir Louis LeBeau for advice on how to deal with struvite stones. My Aunt-Mommy received great insight into my condition. Thank you so much, Sir Louis LeBeau and family!
In the meantime, I would like for all available and willing kitties to come together and purr for me. I just know that will make for a speedy recovery!
Yours truly (and catheterized!),
Biggie

WOW!
I have the most pawsome page! And trust me, it’s not because Mommy somehow became a “page-pimping” genius overnight. She can barely use her cell phone!
My page looks so good because Mommy made friends with Jobel http://www.catster.com/cats/525354, Jillian http://www.catster.com/cats/580727, Jasper http://www.catster.com/cats/580722, and Princess Zoe’s http://www.catster.com/cats/525627 mom. She does amazing things, and can really tune in to our true personalities! And all the way from Canada! I’m surrounded by toes! Just wish they were under the blankets so I could take a big bite!
Please check out my furmily’s other pages. Every detail is purrfect! I hope you’ll all be as impressed as Mommy and I are!
Manx a lot, Manx-mommy! You make us all super happy kitties!
