I'm a daily diary pick again

Mum just got an email telling us that I've been made daily diary pick again. This the fourth or fifith time this year. Either diary chick really digs me or my diary is actually interesting to read.

I would like to dispel one theory. You don't have to write poopie stories to get picked as diary pick. My diary is a poopie story free zone. There are just some things I won't let mum write in diary and poopie stories are one of them. May I add I don't have any poopie stories to tell anyway.

I want to thank my mate Mercedes for sending the shrimp rosette it was really nice.

My weekly rant for the week ending 5th December 2009

I start this rant with a heavy heart this week as most of my mates most likely know my little mate dog lost his brave fight this week and became an angel. It wasn't the injures that killed him but his FIV.

I didn't know him for long but it was an honour to call him a mate. Fly free my little mate you are whole and healthy again. To know he is happy is a great comfort and I will continue to be there for Scrappy and the rest of dog's family.

I had to take a time out writing this rant as mum had to go out and on the way back in read the diary of Tonka a sweet and beautiful girl kit. She also made her trip to the bridge this week. I was good mates with her and I am still good mates with her brother Tate. I send my purrs and my deepest sympathies to Tate and the family. Fly free at the bridge Tonka you're now a beautiful angel.

I'm sorry this rant is a bit late. Mum was out all day and then was too tired to write it last night. There hasn't been much happening with me. My family has been very busy with getting ready for Christmas and going to break ups for the various groups they're involved in.

I just meowed at mum's door and walked her to the lounge chair and give her cuddle as I've missed her not being around. She promised me she was going out this morning and she wouldn't be going out again until Monday afternoon I'm going to stick to that even if it means sitting on her all weekend.

I will send sun to all my mates who need it. Chatting to my mates at the breakfast club last night it sure seems cold. It might take a few days before I can send it as mr sun has done another disappearance at the moment and I am not quite sure when he'll come back but it should be soon and I will send the sun via express post.

Well that's all my news. I hope this finds all my mates and their families happy and healthy.

Walk a day in my shoes

Walk a day is in my shoes is a saying that mum and I like as it has great meaning to us. Mum is a trained disability worker and if this could be the case people would have a better understanding of each other and the same can be said for kitties.

When someone you know kitty or person is doing something you don't totally agree with try look at the situation from their perspective and try to think of how they might be feeling in that situation and see their reason for doing what they're doing.

If you stop and try and see things from another person or kitty's perspective you may still not agree with what they're doing but you'll have some insight into the reason they did what they did and if you take the time to do this you're on the way to a better understanding of others and if they could happen then catster and the world would be a better place.

My weekly rant for the week ending 28th November 2009

November 26th 2009 11:14 pm

I want to start this rant by writing about what I am most thankful for. Even though we don't celebrate thanksgiving in Australia it still doesn't hurt to take time to remember the blessing in your life.

My family for taking good care of me and giving me a loving furever home. Even through they moved four times in my 11 years they never gave up on me.

Food to eat each day and warm place to sleep in winter and cool place to sleep in summer.

All my catster mates. They are all over the world but mean the world to me as they are there for me in the good and the bad times.

That two of mates that have been sick this year. Leo and dog are doing well and they are making progress towards a full recovery and they both got their miracles.

I have been asking for you all to purr for Dog a lot lately and I am happy to say that he had his second surgery this week and they removed two BB's from his back. The surgery went well and the only side effect is that he is groggy and will be in hospital until Monday.

This is the power of the paw and the purr at work as I am a great believer in it and you only have to look at dog and my other mate Leo to see that this is the case as long as you believe in it good things happen.

It's officially summer in Australia on the 1st December and the strange thing is a lot of rain is forecast but this isn't a bad thing as it keeps the area that are a high risk for the bush fires wet and less chance of a breakout of a fire. Could you all please purr for those in the fire danger areas that there are no fires and they are safe.

A shout out to a good mate Emily Felicity who was made cat of the week this week. Congrats to a beautiful kitty you deserve this great honour.

I don't have anything else to write. I hope all my mates and their families are healthy and happy.

Purrs and hugs your Aussie mate

My weekly rant for the week ending 21st November 2009

It's still not officially summer here in Australia until December 1st but gee it's been really hot the last week or so. I've got from wanting the heater turned on to wanting the air con turned on it been that hot.

The last few days have been that hot that we've had our first days of total fire ban and when that happens it gets really hot and no fires are to be lit on these days.

I want to ask my mates to purr for the people in the high fire risk areas as some small fires have already started. They are under control but the weather is only going to get hotter between now and until the end of summer.

I also would like to ask for my mates to continue to purr for my little mate Dog. I haven't heard from him for a few days and I am a bit worried about him.

It unusual for me not hear from at least every few days and it been way too long. Dog if you read this could you or one of your family please get in contact with me or mum.

There hasn't been a lot happening with me as it been way too hot to do anything expect sleep and then get more sleep and play with mum late at night.

I hope this finds all my mates and their families happy and healthy.

I've been tagged by my little mate Dog to play thanksgiving tag.

You have to write five things you are thankful for in your diary and then tag five mates.

1. I am thankful that I have a family who loves me and takes great care of me and they gave me a furever home for all bar 8 weeks of my life.

2. I am thankful for the food I get everyday and the warm place to sleep.

3. I am very thankful for my good health as I only go to the vet once a year and that's for a check up and my shots.

4. I'm thankful for all my mates on catster. They mean the world to me and it makes my day to come in and know I'm among mates.

5. I'm very thankful that my little mate dog the kitty who tagged me is doing so well after being so sick. I love getting to know you mate as you're one cool cat.

If you read this and want to play consider yourself tagged.

My weekly rant for the week ending 14th November 2009

I haven't got a lot write about this week as not much has happened with me this week so this rant may be a bit light. I keep saying that and then it ends up quite long as I remember things to write about.

My little mate Dog is doing well after his first operation and is starting to get around catster a bit. He is strapped up still and staying awake for 5 - 6 hours a day and keeping his mum and sister scrappy highly entertained. I learnt a new phase from him this week "snot locker" it means nose but I thought it was a funny and interesting way of putting.

Could those of you who've been purring for Dog please keep them coming as he's going to need a second operation once he's strong enough hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

Also another purr request the weather in Australia is getting really hot. Could you please purr that there is no repeat of black Saturday during the fire season which has started. So far so good as there has been no reports of bush fires YET. It's still very early in the fire season.

It been too hot to do much so I will keep this rant short for change. Hope this rant finds all my mates and their families happy and healthy.

Purrs and hugs your Aussie mate
