Likes: It's a toss up between chasing bed mice, especially those in bed with Daddy, sleeping on mommy's lap, falling asleep in front of mom's computer monitor so she can't see it to type, he also loved playing with his late, great big bro, Ernie and eating.
Pet-Peeves: Not being allowed outside, sudden movement, being grabbed, being approached by strangers. dogs who bark too loud, being held by people he doesn't know.
Favorite Toy: He likes to play "marble soccer" on hard floors. He drops the marble and then chases it around.His first love is his brother Ernie. He loves to wrestle and chase Ernie. Ernie taught him a lot, like it's safer to scratch on the post than the furniture!
Favorite Nap Spot: In October of 2007, Izzie's favorite nap spot became on my lap or nearby.
Favorite Food: Izzie is NOT fussy like his brother Ernie was and his sister, Delilah is. He will eat most anything I give him, although he only gets the BEST!!
Skills: It was pinning his 9 pound big bro Ernie onto the floor and chewing on Ernie's ears. (Ernie didn't mind as long as Izzie didn't bite too hard!

Arrival Story: Izzie was born under my neighbor's (unenclosed) deck. I saw his Mom first and trapped her. Shortly thereafter, Izzie was at our patio door "talking" to my other cat, Ernie. I chased him around the yards trying to catch him, but he was understandably terrified. I once again borrowed a live trap from our Animal Control Officer, and within five minutes, trapped him. My husband proclaimed loudly that I was NOT to add any more animals to our menagerie. However, within thirty seconds of seeing Izzie, I knew I would try to rehab him. I took Izzie to the vet's immediately to make sure it was safe to have him in my home with my other cats. Thank God he is negative for all those nasty viruses. Mom took good care of him. He had fleas but was not flea-ridden. He also didn't have ear mites. I felt terrible that I trapped Mom and had her taken away and also trapped a sibling of Izzie's. But I am going to give Izzie a wonderful life--and he probably wouldn't have made it otherwise!
Bio: Izzie, his mom and his sibling(s) are a product of uneducated people who think animals are expendable and disposable. Izzie and his sibs didn't ask to be born and although I am not the moron who got a cat and then decided I didn't want it (her) and threw her out to breed, I feel responsible for this little life. I am trying very hard to socialize Izzie in my home with three dogs (sometimes four when we "babysit" for my son's lab, and two other cats. It's expensive and time-consuming and I didn't ask for another cat, but Izzie fills my heart with his little Maine Coon trills and beautiful face. Once he trusts us, I know he will be a great cat!

The Last Forum I Posted In: Fake Cats? Huh?
The seasons are progressing here in Cleveland, Ohio and pretty soon all us animals (minus one,of course) will be piled up together trying to stay warm. One of the things we all told Mom and Dad we HAVE to have is a fireplace in our next house. We've gotten spoiled by the one in this house and we REFUSE to do without one. (Dad says when we start making the house payments, we can start making demands on what we want...) Ayway, we also insist on some nice big windows for some nice big sun tangles on the carpet. Delilah and I just barely fit in the ones now. (Could I be getting bigger or sumpthin?)
Don't you know that little interloper, Lily Rose, had to do something sooooo cute the other day. Mom was coming back from taking our hoomin gramma to the doctor and when she pulled into the drive, there was Cady, our Springer doggie sisfur and Lily Rose, sitting next to each other on the driveway waiting for her. Meowmie said it was just sooooo cute and darling and didn't she wish she had a camera???? Sheesh. I'm sooooo cute ALL the time and she doesn't carry on over ME!! She was rubbing my ears last night and calling me "her little baby brat boy" though. I guess I'll have to accept that.
Mom's cleaning the fridge today. Oh,boy! I LOVE to help her!
If you are in a climate where winter is on its way, we hope you are staying warm, have found your long underwear, stacked the firewood (or at least found the loooong matches to light the gas firelogs) have found both boots and warm hat, and found your favorite recipe for chili. Mom has done two of these--found the long matches and her chili recipe. Lily Rose is out today but probably hasn't ventured too far from the patio. I thought I wanted to go out too, but changed my mind when the wind blew my tail over my head. Wow!
Mom ordered "us" a Morgan bed just now. It's got roses on it for you know who, but the picture shows all three of the lady's cats on it, in it and next to it. Mom was very touched by Morgan's story. He had cataracts at birth and it's cost a lot of money to make him well. The lady sells the beds to help pay for his medical bills. So I guess we benefit also since we'll be sleeping in the bed. Mom had to borrow our human sisfur's futon bed because the dog sisfurs were fighting every night over who was going to sleep were on Mom and Dad's bed. The real estate lady made them get rid of the "girls'" loveseat that used to be in the bedroom so now they had to sleep on THE FLOOR like REGULAR DOGS!!! Well, mom and dad got tired of them fighting like---well, female dogs, every night over the bed so mom said the heck with what the real esate lady said and borrowed the futon. Then, dad locked his keys in the truck so mom had to climb through the back window this morning to unlock the door. Dad stood there and laughed. Mom said a bad word about what dad could do. Mom said "IF I get stuck in this window, I'll never live it down." It WAS kind of funny!
Meowmie told me I should write another diary entry 'cause the last one was so sad. We still miss our doggie sisfur Mollie, but Meowmie is coming to terms with the fact that she wasn't going to get any better and only get worse. We still look for her behind the chair and we still feel like someone is missing from the Zoo Gang. But, Meowmie said the other day she thinks Mollie sent her a message from The Bridge and told her she forgives her for putting her down and that Meowmie just had to realize that Mollie didn't enjoy the constant upchucking and making Meowmie wipe it up night and day. Meowmie says she feels better after that little message. It's like when the butterfly that Meowmie still swears was Ernie came and landed on the windchimes Meowmie got when Ernie died, and then landed on the Ernie Angel statue and then right on Meowmie's shirt. Meowmie will always swear that that was Ernie on a visit to say "hello".
I've been chillin' out, not even trying to pick fights with Lily. I love to watch the dried out old leaves blowing around the yard. Lily likes to o out and chase them, but I am content just watching them from the window. As long as I am in the same room as Meowmie, I'm happy.
We would like to say that we hope all our furrenz are having a safe and happy fall season, and if it is cold where they are that they are all staying warm. We also hope that all our furrenz realize how important they are to us and how much we love each and every one of them!
