indoors Arrival Story: We foster kittens for a local rescue, Larry was one of our foster and we just fell in love with him. He is irony and likes to talk to you. He knows his name and is always crying for attention.
At 1 year old, I came home to Larry laying in the middle of the floor screaming and he was in obvious pain. He would not move and I thought he has broke his rear leg or something. We rushed him to the vet and they did x-rays as their was nothing obvious from just looking at the leg. When we looked at the x-rays I was in for a surprise...Larry's leg was perfectly fine however he had a tumor on his toe. They biopsied it and put him on pain pills, the results came back with bone cancer! A 1 yr old cat with a rare form of bone cancer...how lucky can I get LOL!!
The only thing they could do was to amputate his toe and hope that the cancer had not already spread. He is now our special boy with 3 toes on his one rear leg, he has been fine ever since although he still has some pain in that foot when anyone touches it. We are very lucky that we found the cancer before it spread and that our Larry cat is still going strong.
