Watching over the little kittens

A few weeks ago, I looked down from my cloud and down at my mummy's cottage. I wondered what my mummy was doing. She wouldn't be able to see me, I'm an angel kitty now. So I looked for mummy inside her cottage, where abouts was she? I walked through the door into the kitchen and that's when I saw her. She was kneeling on the ground, stroking a little ball of fluff on her lap. I knew what it was straight away. After all, I had been one myself. It was a kitten. It was a little male tabby and he had a smudge on his nose. He jumped off her lap and she called him back. 'Smudge!' she called after him. Smudge, I thought, that's what he's called. Then I turned around to look at the rest of the kitchen. I saw another little kitten who was a greyish blue. A Russian Blue. He looked at me with unblinking eyes, but I knew he could not see me, but he must have sensed my presence. I turned again to look and see if there were any other kittens. There wern't. Mummy picked the Russian Blue up in her arms and began to stroke him gently too. I didn't know what his name was. I sniffed him but he did not notice the warm air from my nostrils. I looked up at Mummy. I wish I could sit on her lap and that she would, again, be able to pet me.

I saw a plate of cat food and I was just about to take full advantage of the free food when I thought, no I couldn't. I couldn't eat the kitten's food like that, that would just be mean. Then I turned around to see the big face of a beautiful female Russian Blue. She wasn't a kitten but she sure looked amazing. I looked down at the food and then back up at her. Could she see me? I was relieved to discover that she couldn't see me. She ate the food on the plate and then walked back to the Russian Blue kitten as it must have been hers. I thought to myself and looked up at Mummy. She had replaced me. I was almost going to cry tears of sadness but instead cryed tears of joy. She had gotten on with her life and added some new additions to the family. I would watch over the kittens for her, I would care for them just like their mother would. I looked back at them and smiled. I then flew up, through the roof and back up to my cloud. Life goes on, I said to myself. I now had little kittens to watch over for the first time in my life.

♥The day I went to Rainbow Bridge♥

I had heard of Rainbow Bridge before and that it is a big bridge in the sky with a rainbow going across it and it is heaven. I never knew I was going to it so soon though. I didn't have time to be scared though because it was so instant. Yes, I got hit by a car but I didn't feel a thing, I just saw this beautiful bridge and I walked lady-like across it with my tail in the air. My humans miss me though...
