Arrival Story:
PC(Pond Cat) showed up one day at the end of our pond, near our goat pasture. We have lots of cats around that are wild strays and some belong to my neighbors who rarely take care of them. I usually do not try and feed them and they usually are afraid of me, but this little girl stayed around. I was drawn to her beautiful blue and green eyes and her white color was so pretty. Everyday she stayed at my house and tried to catch fish to eat from our pond. It broke my heart so I started feeding her and she came to me and was very friendly. Her first day of eating was hard to watch. She gulped food down without swallowing and she would gather mouthfuls and carry them to a corner and spit them out so she could hide and eat. After getting to know her we discovered she is also deaf. We live way off the road and our property is fenced in for our goat farm so she just stayed here and has never left.

Bio:
We took PC to the vet to have her spayed and give her shots only to find out she had already been spayed. Of course they had to perform surgery to find out. I think she was someone's pet before and they decided just to toss her for whatever reason, but I am glad she found us. I do love her more each day she's here. She has been so loving and trusting despite her hard life. I hope we can make her life better. Update: I now live in my daddy's shop with the central heat and air. Also mommy has a scratching play piece and I am using the litter box. I was attacked since they were leaving the shop door open and I became scared to go in there so daddy installed a cat door and closed the shop up. I really don't like going out anymore so mommy bought me a litter box and now I use that so I just live inside daddy's shop. Oh there's so much to do in there. I also like to hide in a huge cardboard box that some long bulbs came in. No one even knows I'm in there. Update: October 6, 2008 PC lost her battle with skin cancer and lymphoma today. She was sent to rainbow bridge this morning where she can be pain free. Her family will miss her dearly. She was so loving, it's hard to believe someone threw her out when she was younger. We will always remember you. We laid you to rest near the pond just where we first found you!

PC was so important to us. We rescued her and that just made her more special. She has been battling cancer for a few months and she lost her battle today and went to the bridge. She was so loving and trusting even though someone just threw her away like yesterday's garbage. She was gentle and sweet and we will never forget her. She touched our lives in many ways and we'll never forget our little companion who lived in our shop after being rescued. She had her own house with central heat and air. PC thank you for sharing your life with us and we wish we could have saved you from the awful cancer but we couldn't see you suffer anymore. Take care of Brutus, Penny and Lucy in heaven. We'll see you when we get there. All our love, Mommy and Daddy

Well, somehow I ended up homeless and didn't know where to go but I found this pond and it looked like I could get something to eat there and avoid a run-in with the other stray and wild cats around. I see a big white dog who looks at me and some other creatures with four legs some big and some small hanging out in the grass. I wonder if they eat fish too. This lady kept coming out and looking at me but then she just went in the pasture with the four legged creatures and the big white dog. One dau she comes and brings me something to eat. I am so excited. I even brush against her leg. She is kind of confused. I eat so fast I think it scares her. Now, she comes everymorning and every night and feeds me and pets me. I do like to be petted and rubbed. She took me to the vet three weeks ago and I was so good. My new Mommy thought I would leave and run away after the vet visit but I didn't. I think I love it here! She decided I needed a house so she bought me a big dog house and she leaves the crate she takes me to the vet in. She puts soft towels in it so I can sleep comfortably. She also gave me an adirondack chair and I just love to sit in it and bask in the sun. I also love playing in the pond and catching fish. I don't have to eat them anymore. It's just for fun! Mommy took me to the vewt again last week to spay me so I would not have kittens only to find out after surgery I had already been spayed. I keep looking at my tummy wondering why they had to open it up again. That's when mommy knew I had been someone's pet before and I was probably thrown out. Oh well, that's the past and life is good now!
