You know, mom has been so busy, she barely has any time to do anything other than work!

Bath time

Today was bath time again. I thought I was free of bathes since I havent had one since the new naked baby came to our house. But I was wrong.

Mommie picked me right up after she did Patches and plunked me in the tub. I was relatively quiet until I was ready to get out and be done! It didnt seem to last very long at all, but I hate bathes! Mommie clipped my nails last night so all thats left is to clean my ears. I will make sure I am hidden all night so she cant find me!

I smell all pretty now and my fine down feels silky again instead of sticky! Woohoo!

New baby?

Is there a new baby in the house? I smell something new! I keep trying to find it, but I cant. Meow? Meow? *sniff*sniff*

Ahh well, time to sleep. Sure wish I had a new friend to snuggle with. Maybe if there is a new baby in the house, it will want to snuggle with me!

Get better Skyylar

My kitty-friend Skyylar is very sick. He is epileptic and after being seizure free for several years, they are back.

His mommie worries about him all the time. The people in the white coats in the smelly scary place are putting him back on medication that he used to be on.

I have a new nickname!

So mommie came home today and told me I have a new nickname. Its "Cog". Thats a cross between cat and dog. ....Heres how I got my new nickname!

So, a week and half ago or so, mommie was at the pet store .. getting me fun things (NOT! she bought one of those sprayers that hooks to your faucet so its easier to give me a bath. She thinks the noise of the faucet in the tub scares me. Well, yea! At least now the water doesnt run all the time and she can control it more) and saw a really cute pet shirt. Its made for a dog, but was the smallest size. On it, it said "Only my groomer knows for sure!" and mommie thought of me immediately!

When she first brought me home and was showing around pictures, everyone really thought I was a dog and to this day, still do! Even people who have seen me and met me!

Mommie was talking to my kitty-friend Skyylar's mommie (hes very sick, his seizures are back!) and she told her of the shirt. So mommies friend said .. "Awwww, poor cat-dog. Oh, Cog, thats what he is! Hes a cog!"

So there you have it. I am "Cog".

I felt a little evil ......

So I woke up yesterday morning .. hungry. And there was no food in the bowl! I had pigged out after mommie went to bed and ate everything. She should have sensed I was out of food and woken up and filled the dish for me so I had more in the morning!

Well, she didnt. So I crawled under the covers .. like I always do. But instead of curling up next to her to sleep ... hehehehe, I bit her toe to wake her up! The first time she just moved away. But I was determined to get her out of bed so I could eat! So I bit her again. This time she pushed me out of the bed with her feet.

I didnt let that stop me! I jumped right on her! She was so startled when my lil claws kinda dig into her a bit, that she jumped right up! Of course as she started to get out of bed, I was underfoot, running and running. She finally went to the dish and saw I was starving and filled it up. Man, I almost had to trip her to get her to realize I was about to die of malnutrition!

Shhhhh, dont tell her I am really not starving! Although, she may know cuz she thinks I am fat!

Weekly bath

Ug. It was that time again tonight. For some reason tonight, I just did not want to take my bath. I was filthy too! You know, if mommie didnt know any better, she would think she let me out to roll around in the dirt! My belly and under arms were extra dirty this week. I dont know why!

Mommie started with my ear cleaning this week. That way when I was done with the bath, I could run away and not have to be stuck still sitting there while she did that! My ears werent as dirty this week as they were last week, so I guess that is a good thing. Nails werent as covered with wax either. How is it that my belly is VERY dirty and the rest of me wasnt so bad?

I really hate baths. The water is just ickie and stuff. I know mommie tries to keep it out of my face, but I just have to squirm and try to get away, so that gets it alll over. She looks like she just took a bath often times also! Hehe, I love getting her wet.

I kinda like the drying part though. Mommie snuggles me tight while she keeps me warm when I am still wet. Dont want me to catch a cold! She dries me really thoroughly, even in between my toes. When she lets me go, I always run away though and lick, lick, lick. Not that theres anything to lick .. but she got rid of me! I gotta make me smell like me again! Then, time to eat and snuggle with mommie and Snickers to go to bed.

Weekly bath time!

Man, I can not believe another week has gone by already and its time for my bath. I had so much excitement this week!

I love to sit in the window and watch the outside world, because I know I will not be allowed out there. And thats a good thing! So there I was, sitting in the window and kids always walk by oooohing and ahhhhing over me. Yes, I know I am a pretty boy! They were joking and laughing, telling everyone to come check out the cat, no the dog, no the cat, no the dog in the window! No wonder I have a complex. I even meowed at them to show them I am a kitty! Ah, well, thats OK .. I think I know I am a kitty.

And this week, I also heard strange booms. I dont know what they were, but my feline sister Snickers hid under the bed and mommy was gone for a little while. Wonder what those fast moving things were out there I was trying to catch.

So then, last night, haha, Snickers had her weekly grooming. Its nice to see I am not the only one! I think she likes it though, because she doesnt cry or try to escape much. Wierdo.

And then tonight, its my turn. Again....ugg. I was happily sitting next to mommy and then she just up and picked me up and plopped me in the bathroom! Guess she knew if I heard the water running, so would I. So she waited this time. That sneaky mommy. She turned it on just a dribble and plunked me in. I thought I was going to drown! I was squirming so much at first, water all in my face! OK, I wasnt going to drown, but she doesnt know that!

Tonight was different though. I dont know why, but it was different. I didnt try to escape much, I sat like a good boy and had my bath. I only cried once! And that was when she was cleaning my very dirty belly. It didnt seem to take long and when she was done, she scooped me up into a towel and dried me off very well! I thought life was good and it was over, boy was I wrong! I forgot I gave her grief last week so she didnt get my ears. Oooooh, man! But she was very gentle and I didnt cry at all! I did try to squirm away and scratch my ears when she hit my spot, but before I knew it, it was over and I was a free man! Wooohooo!

Next week I think is the monthly nail trimming. I think I am going to hide all weekend so she cant find me! Meow!

Weekly Bath

So tonight is weekly bath time. I really hate baths. No one before my current mommy gave me baths. You should have seen my ears when I came home with her! And when she took me for my first clip and clean, they told her I should be tested for mites. Silly vets.

Mommy tries really hard not to make it bad, I know she does, but I just dont like it! I always squirm and try to jump away. She had to start doing it in the tub because I would hook my claws on the underside of the sink countertop and she couldnt get me loose! hehe. I wish I didnt have to take baths. My belly is soooo dirty though. Even though she gives me baths once a week, I still leave dirt marks.

Tonight I was crying very loudly! I was cold for some reason. Its hot here in the desert, and she keeps it OK in here. Not cold like some humans! But I was shivering when it was finally over. I was glad she wrapped me up in a towel and just snuggled with me to warm me up. I ran away when she put me down, but it was only to lick myself! I came right back.

But she did not get my ears tonight! Uh oh ... that means next week, its going to be twice as long cuz shes gunna be doin' the ears and they will be extra bad, I know. Glad its over with for this week!
