Well, it was one year ago today that I came into this world. What can I say? I am so glad that the family who had my mom didn't think my leg was a problem. I am even happier that the original family who adopted me changed their minds because they were so superficial. But I hated being in the shelter. They were nice to me but it wasn't a home.
Because it was that return that brought me to this family I have now. I was sick when they brought me home, but they nursed me and made me feel special. I know, the way we cats do, that I am loved more than all the leaves on all the trees.
I know that I am special because if I 'ask' to come into the shower, they let me. If I ask to be picked up and placed on the vanity, they do it AND turn the faucet on for me to drink! I know that my family knows and loves me so well that they always know what I am saying to them.
I feel love each and every day and I know that my humans would do anything for me.
I have great brothers and sisters who play with each other, don't fight or bother each other. We have loads of toys and furniture and treats and the run of the house...we don't want for anything.
Am I having a good birthday? Yep. But everyday feels like a birthday because I always feel special!
Okay, we were all happy for Mommy when the SPCA called and offered her a job.
Today was her first day and we are glad she isn't coming home stressed out like she did her with her last job. But, COME ON!! She came home smelling like a kitten or two AND a 6 week old puppy! This can't continue.
She is supposed to be loving US, her babies!! Now, to be fair, she came home and really loved us up. She did tell us she is so happy that we are all here with daddy, Tori and her. But we don't want to know that she has been snuggling with strangers.
I hope she gets tired of looking at the other dogs and kitties. I hope she gets them all adopted to new homes and then she can't be playing with them during the day.
I've been talking to her all night about it, but I dont think she's getting it. I even climbed up on her and flopped right down on her chest and right shoulder, making sure she realizes it's ME and the rest of our family she wants to cuddle with!
Paws crossed she gets the hint and SOON!!!
We will be very bust the next few days cheering for the best team in baseball.....GO PHILLIES!!!!!
Okay, fellow Catsters! I have been tagged, putting me in a position to start a diary!
Here are my 7 facts:
1. I am completely addicted to the track ball toy! (Thank you, My Darling Sweet Potato for suggesting it to Mommy!)
2. I am a SOCCER STAR with any of the clothing items and accessories that I can find in Tori's Barbie house set-up
3. Comcast was recently at our house to interview my family and to film me with my siblings. They are doing success stories on local adoptions from the SPCA.
4. I am like Tony Stewart when I hear Mommy with the treat jar. EAT MY DUST!!!
5. I can scale a safety gate in less than 10 seconds, thank you very much.
6. I am into Ornithology. I sit for extended periods of time on the sofa in the 'rents bedroom, studying the birds' activities in the tree right outside the window.
7. My affection for Lucky is tremendous! I am smitten :)
