Arrival Story:
Marble came to us as a rescue cat when she was about 3 years old. She was INCREDIBLY timid but after 11 years with us, she is starting to sit on our knee (on her terms) and is just learning how to push open a door . . ..

Bio:
When Marble came to us, we already had a self-black Persian boy, Leo (who was also a rescue cat.) Leo sadly died, at the age of about 15, in 2002. We miss him *so* much. Recently, we have introduced two NEW rescue persians to Marble - Anoosheh and Mahla and Marble is coping admirably with the change. She growls at them from time to time but after just 2 weeks, they share a sofa from time to time. Not bad for an old cat of 14, very stuck in her ways! But of course, for us, Marble is still Top Cat! *** Very sadly, Marble passed away at home after a short illness on Saturday 8th September 2007. I stayed up all night to comfort her and she died as the sun came up. She was an extra specially special cat and there is a gaping hole in my heart and on my sofa which will never be filled in quite the same way. Night night, loud cat - what I wouldn't give to have you standing on me, shouting in the middle of the night for no apparent reason . . . .
