If you spot Andy, call his mom IMMEDIATELY at 781-264-5243 or Animal Control 203-557-3659. If you don’t mind, keep her phone number or flyer with you when you are out and about. Andy is running scared and hiding!!! Experts have advised … do NOT call his name, NO eye contact, do NOT chase or approach him, just call his mom and TRY to keep him in sight from a distance until help arrives. Thank you!
HUGE REWARD for information leading to his safe return. Confidential and NO questions asked!!!

New Year's eve Andy was spooked by fireworks and went missing in Westport, CT while visiting from out of state. He is a male, tan and white Corgi (large ears, short legs, and NO TAIL), 11 years old and 30 lbs. No longer wearing his collar but is microchipped. His family has remained in the area, desperately searching every day and night.
1/14/12 sighting at Winslow Dog Park in Westport, CT. A professional tracking dog followed Andy's scent for several miles before it abruptly ended. It is the expert’s opinion that Andy MAY have been picked up and driven off at that point. There were no signs of injury.
1/20/12 multiple independent sightings in Norwalk, CT
1/26/12 Crosspost from “Bring Andy Home”
I would like to express our gratitude and amazement at the number of Andy fan helpers we had last night. It was truly remarkable, what an unbelievable group of people we have been blessed with to help on our search for Andy.
Because of all the flyers posted, or handed out, and the organizing, and of course our stake out last night, we know Andy’s neighborhood and general schedule! It is such an amazing relief and comfort to me to know where he is currently and not always be chasing behind him by several days. Now I am concentrating on his retrieval. I will monitor his behavior and patterns to best establish locations for traps etc. Public knowledge as always is key, and continuing to make neighbors around where we have covered aware is very important to determine his pattern. It is very important that Andy feel safe there and I feel the more we search for him the less he will be comfortable, it doesn’t serve any purpose because we cannot approach him he is too scared.
I will post updates and ask for help when needed because you are all the best!! Time for Andy to come home to his family!!! Xoxoxo
2/15/12 most calls of “possible” sightings continue to be in but NOT limited to the East Norwalk area. All are investigated thoroughly. At least a 10 mile radius from Westport/Norwalk and possibly further cannot be ruled out! Local volunteers continue to need help posting flyers, promoting community awareness, and physically checking ALL shelters. At this point the goal is to have enough reliable sightings within a relatively small area so traps and night video cameras can be relocated as appropriate. Andy’s parents are diligently working with multiple consultants and experts, and are still exploring any and all options.

2/24/12 Karin TarQwyn, a nationally renouned Private Investigator and missing dog expert has joined the search for Andy. Karin and her 5 tracking dogs are on their way from NE to CT. Please keep sharing Andy’s flyer far and wide. Based on the pattern of most recent sightings, they are expanding the search area! “Any and all eyes, ears and cross posting is much appreciated.”
Please keep up the prayers and good vibes. check his Facebook page for the most current updates and specific requests for assistance. THANK YOU if you are able to help in any way.

Please share Ozzy's flyer and info on Dogster, Facebook, retweet on Twitter, blogs, and anywhere you can think of. You never know when a friend may know someone who lives in the area and can help. We need as many eyes and sniffers out there as possible … someone who will call his mom IMMEDIATELY if seen. Thank you for anything you can do to help!
LOST 1/7/12 in Greenfield Hill / Fairfield, CT

See Facebook page at “Bring Ozzy Home”
OZZY will be missing 3 weeks tomorrow and we are desperate to find him and get him home! ....
If anyone wants to meet me this weekend to pick up flyers please email me at email@example.com or call me at 203-247-1747. We need to continue to plaster Fairfield and Westport to get the word out.
With so few sightings and in an effort to get a better understanding of Ozzy's location I have been working with a couple reputable animal communicators. Both say he is alive and well and within miles of home. One feels he may have been picked up by a car (as suspected by the tracker) and taken to Weston where the people have taken him in to their home and are caring for him. Of course we don't know if this is true but in case it is we need to post flyers in that area to make them aware of the fact that Ozzy has a family who loves him, is searching for him and wants to bring him home where he belongs.
If any of you live in Weston or are willing to post flyers in Weston please contact me ASAP.
I also need someone to post in Westport - downtown, Post Road, main arteries and by schools - let me know if you can do that - maybe team up with a friend.
I am still focusing my efforts on Fairfield which is quite large and has many different neighborhoods to cover but the good news is people are starting to see our flyers and become aware of OZZY.
Thanks to all of you for your continued support, suggestions, and efforts to help us BRING OZZY HOME!!! xo L
It is 3 weeks tonight that Ozzy went missing. Unfortunately we have had no sightings in over a week so either Ozzy is staying out of sight and only traveling at night OR someone has picked him up and not called the authorities. Either way the most important thing we can do is create more public awareness by posting flyers EVERYWHERE in Fairfield, Westport, and Weston and perhaps even venturing into the bordering areas of Norwalk and Bridgeport. It is also essential to keep reminding the shelters and vets and groomers that Ozzy is out there and could be brought to them at any time so they need to be on alert. This all requires volunteers since it takes time to accomplish this. Anyone who is willing to help please come to Barnes and Noble tomorrow at NOON (Sun. 1/29/12 in Westport on Post Road) to pick up flyers and determine a section to cover. Anyone who is willing to make phone calls and emails just contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can discuss a call list. Anyone who is willing to post Ozzy's info on internet sites or contact different media outlets can also contact me on my email and we can get more of that in motion also. Thanks to all of you who have been instrumental in getting the Ozzy campaign in motion - we are starting to get some momentum now and need to keep it going and expand our net so that someone, somewhere will see him and make that crucial call which will bring him home where he belongs. Thanks to all!!! xo L
2/6/12 Update: last week, sightings were on OLD DAM Road in Fairfield off of South Pine Creek - prior to that on Unquowa near Roger Ludlow school. Most recent “probable” sighting near Osborne Hill High School in Fairfield
2/18/12 Ozzy and Andy on Channel 12 Connecticut’s “Pet Talk”
Please remember Ozzy is running scared!!! If seen, do NOT chase him, IMMEDIATELY call his mom or Animal Control and TRY to keep him in sight from a distance until help arrives. Thank you!

- post FLIERS and more FLIERS EVERYWHERE - minimum a 10 mile radius of where your pet went missing - see Posters and Fliers Tips using the "five words, five seconds rule"
- ask postal workers and delivery personnel (UPS, Fed Ex, etc) to help distribute fliers and be on the lookout. taxi cabs, bus drivers, and children also make excellent spotters
- notify and send fliers to local VETS, SHELTERS, Humane societies, and Rescue organizations (esp breed specific if applicable)
- STAPLES stores will often make 100 free color copies for lost animals - a good black and white flier with clear picture may help manage expenses too
- place ads in your local NEWSPAPERS
- FindToto.com and/or PetAmberAlert.com will call neighbors in the area (for a fee)
- post online in classified Lost ads by state and city (see links below)
- check Found ads frequently because most sites do not automatically coordinate losts with founds
- also do a quick search at different sites to make sure your pet is NOT listed for Adoption or for Sale
Main National Lost and Found Search Sites:
Craigslist Pets and Lost&Found categories
K9 Amber Alert yahoo group that many rescuers cross post from

For Humane Trapping advice, see my Diary entry #3 below and Pictures in my photo album. If there has been a reliable sighting of your pet, traps can usually be obtained and set up by Animal Control Officers or Wildlife Managers. If they do not have traps available, check with local pest control places for HaveAHart traps or something similar. Just make sure it is large enough...
