Coloration: Tabby
Likes: cuddling before sleep and tuna water from the can
Pet-Peeves: people who don't pay attention to her, not getting fed on time. She is a wonderful alarm clock every day of the week.
Favorite Toy: cat teaser, the throw on the couch, and unfortunately - plastic bags which have to be kept away from her.
Favorite Nap Spot: a basket on the window seat, a boot box, another basket on the window seat, my desk, the window sill, under the bed, next to my pillow
Favorite Food: salmon. She doesn't look it, but she can eat!
Skills: she likes to drink from the faucet and she has a very speaking "meow" - sort of like Tallulah Bankhead
Dwells:
indoors
Arrival Story: I saw her as a little scrap of a cat, fighting to get food after the big cats were done. I picked her up and she turned on her back and licked my fingers. It was all over, after that.
Bio: She had a beloved companion who was adopted at the same time who passed away of cancer two years ago. They loved to cuddle together, although they were not litter mates.
Elly was the boss of the house - and still is, despite the fact that Benny is bigger

I decided to rename my diary, as befits my princess status.
And sadly, since I only have one brother and a new sister, it no longer fit. I complained about Benny a lot, but I sure miss him.
We have a lot to do in the new year. Mom just noticed last night that we broke a branch on the (fake) Christmas tree. Sorry mom! I knew we shouldn't have invited the cats from downstairs for New Year's eve. But honestly, we were playing "bob for ornaments" and "bat the ornaments" - and it just happened. Take a chill pill, mom - and just put that side facing the wall next year!
Its cold here, but the apartment is warm and cozy with lots of sunshine and birds to watch. Writing this has made me feel sleepy again, so guess I'll curl up on the bed on the radiator and meditate for a while...
Mom and I are watching the Twilight Zone marathon, and I am eating treats.
I know that Mom and Dad are going to a party and spending the night there, so Emmy and Jason and I are thinking of inviting a few furrends over while they are gone to eat good food and play under the (fake) tree. I just know that she will leave extra food and treats out - she always does!
Maybe our downstairs neighbors Nash and Scampi will come, since Uncle John is going out with Mom and Dad, too. (Guys, if you are reading this, come on up around 7pm and we'll meow in the New Year together!)
Do you think that Mom and Dad will notice the extra litter box traffic?
Have a safe, happy, catnip and nap filled holiday!
Love,
Elly
Hi kitties,
For those of you that asked, I'm fine, thank you! I have inflammatory bowel disease, but it is well controlled by diet, and I have gone from a skeletal 6 pounds to a sleek 10 pounds. Mom still has to brush me often - and I make her give me treats a lot.
Sad news from June 1 - my brother Benny passed away from chronic kidney failure. He was so young - and we don't know what caused it. Mom and Dad tried everything, including IV's but nothing worked. Jason and I still miss him - and Jason bothers me a lot. I'm not his playmate the way Benny was.
Mom brought home a new sister - Emily. She was pretty mean at first, but we get along now. She was put out on the street with her kittens. They found a home, and it took a year for her to get her own home, but she has one now.
I promise to update everyone more often!
Go Yankees!
