Day Three of eye med

Well it is day three of my eye med and I have to say I am being difficult. Mommy and Daddy double team me. Daddy wraps me up in a blanket and then mommy attacks with the eye drops. Mommy hit me with the ointment today...It makes my eyes look all goofy. One pupil is all dilated and then other is normal...I look like a freak!

Hopefully tuesday when I go back to the vet next week I won't have to get the drops anymore.

V-E-T

I had to go to the Vet today...It was awful. Mommy noticed my eye was bothering me. She tried to clean it out but it just wouldn't clear up so I had to go see Dr.Lisa. Going to the vet for eye problems has got to be the worst thing ever...I mean ever. They squirted this dye in my eye and then held up a black light to my eye...It glowed green!! I looked like a freak! Dr.Lisa said I had an ulcer on my eye. So she gave me some ointment and drops in my eye. Mommy has to put them in my eye too...if I let her...MOL. Daddy will have to hold me down.

I have to go back to see Dr. Lisa next week to see how it is coming along. Hopefully my eye will better by then and I won't have to get any more medicine. Plus mommy and daddy said I am not allowed outside until my eye is better. It just keeps getting worse...How can I survive if I don't go out in the yard??? I will die in the house with the other kitties...don't they know I have to protect the yard!

Maybe I can sneak out...hmmm...I will have to give that a try.

I think I hear mommy coming with medicine...got to go hide.

Training Mocha

I have been busy training Mocha. She is going to be my secret operative. I am trying to get the door open to the outside. Mommy and daddy won't suspect a think because Mocha doesn't care if she goes outside or not. She only thinks she is supposed to go because us other kitties go out. I have taught her how to push down on the door handle.

Mommy and Daddy always put a chair by the kitchen door so we can see out the window. It gives whoever is on the chair easy access to the door handle. When I give Mocha the signal she pushes down on it as I am pushing the door open with my head. We tried it on Sunday but it didn't work. I can't figure out why? Mocha thinks we should get Melodie and Wally involved. I think that will draw too much attention to us.

As I think about this I always see mommy twist something underneath the door handle. I have to figure out what that is and how to operate it. Hmmmm.

Made a new Friend

I made a new friend today. You are all going to be suprised by this but it is a D-O-G!..I know but she is really sweet. Her name is Emmy and she is my neighbor. She is a little big for me though. I could practically ride her.

Me and the gang have been spending a lot of time outside lately. Whenever it is nice Mommy and Daddy put us outside. I love to go outside. My only problem is that Mommy watches us when we go outside. No privacy.

Daddy saved a birdie today. I can't believe he didn't let us have it. They do always tell us no birds. The poor little guy flew right into one of our windows...knocked himself right out. Daddy held him until he was ready to fly away. Then he ended up in our garage. Mommy heard some chirping and went out and there he was.

Well I think I hear mommy getting some food ready for us.

Tired

I am tired today. Yesterday I turned 4. My sister Mocha and I have been partying pretty hard! This is just the beginning. Mocha turns 1 on May 26th. I can't wait for that! More catnip and tuna...2 of my favorite things.

I wan't to take this opportunity to thank everyone who sent me rosettes or stars for my birthday. They made me so happy. I felt like a special kitty.

Yesterday

I didn't get a chance to write yesterday but I caught a mole yesterday when I was outside. That's what I got Mommy for Mother's day. She kept telling me what a good boy I was. She wouldn't let me eat him though. I did get a bunch of treats though. I would have rather had the mole. Oh well maybe next time I won't show mommy.

Oh well!

Another Day in the life of Buddha Mittens

I am driving Mommy crazy right now. It is freezing outside not to mention pitch black...and I want to go out. See I slept all day and now that I have woken up I want to go out. I meow constantly at the door. Eventually she will let me out. I even have my new sister Mocha doing it. Mocha doesn't go out but she sees me do it so she does it. I don't really do anything when I go out. Just eat some grass and hang out in the yard. Mommy puts us on leashes so we can not roam around the neighborhood. It's okay I don't need to roam everywhere...Mommy and Daddy put a lot of bird seed out so we get a lot of birds and bunnies and chipmunks in the yard...They are fun to watch. Daddy just got up from the couch...I am going to see if he will let me out.

Mocha

Mocha is crazy. She races around her like I do. She chases me and then I chase her. Sometimes mommy has to spray her with the water bottle because she gets a little carried away. She's fun though. I think I like her. Melodie doesn't like her though. They always get into fights and mommy has to go running to spray Melodie with the water bottle. I hope they learn to get along better.

New Buddy for Buddha

Mommy and Daddy keep telling me they got me a real buddy to play with. I usually care stuffed animals around the house. But I haven't seen her yet. She is supposed to like me a bengal but she is also like Wally and Melodie...Maine Coon. I hope she likes to play. I hear her and have snuck a quick peek at her from underneath the door. Mommy and Daddy call her Mocha. She looks like a pretty girl. I can't wait to meet her.

Happy Holidays

I had quality time with Mommy today. Just me and Mommy. We went to the Natural Pet store and got some treats and fish oil. Everyone there was showering me with attention. I loved it. I love attention. They are not used to seeing a kitty in there store. They were impressed with how well I did on a harness. I never leave home with out it. Actually I always have my harness on. I feel naked without it. Hope all the kitties have a wonderful Holiday.
