I can't believe it has been a whole year since my last entry....So much has happened since then....I have so many new friends now on Catster and our group just keeps growing and growing. I have a great furmate, Reggie and he is so sweet to me. He lives in Texas so we have to use the kitty shuttle whenever we want to be together... We have lost a few of our beloved kitties this year and that is so very, very sad but we have made new friends too that will become just as special to us. Mom even says I have changed this last year....I haven't bitten her in a very long time and I almost sit by her now. I do sneak into the bedroom after she goes to sleep and I curl up by her feet. I have to close in case the buzzy thing goes on or if she needs my help. Sometimes, she doesn't like it very much when I wake her up....but someone has to do the job....
Mom bought me a new little kitty toy yesterday....it has catnip in it and it looks like a little bird...what's fun is that if you touch it, it makes this chirping sound just like the birds I see outside our window sometimes. I can't wait to see what I get for Christmas this year...We drew for secret kitties in our group and that is fun. We also exchanged addresses so we can send cards to each other....Next spring we are going to send postcards from where we live....that will be fun too.

The rules of this holiday game are quite simple. When you are tagged, pen a diary entry regarding what you are thankful for, then send a Rosette or Pmail to 5 cats, telling them they have been tagged. They then do the same, and usually they 'mail you back to tell you they've completed the task. So here goes....
I am thankful this year for:
(1)the fact that my human brothers & sisters will not be at our house for the day. Mom is going to her nephews this year.
(2) all my friends on catster. they keep me happy, well-informed, and feeling loved and warm...
(3) my furmate, Regiment...the bestest furmate a girl would ever wish for!
(4) that my mom's getting better after having her tooth pulled. I am trying to make her feel better.
(5) my wonderful home with my mom....good food, a warm place to nap, lots of fun toys, my big orange carrot, and a comfortable bed that I share with my mom when she has been good.

My wonderful friends in my club decided that I needed a new furmate so they organized a batchelorette show with me as the star.....can you believe? 7 handsome toms volunteered to vie for my attention and I had group dates and then I narrowed it down to two good-looking brothers from Austin, Texas--Poe and Regiment......I had 2 exciting private dates with the boys--Poe took me out for dinner and we accepted the suite at the hotel for the night to get better acquainted. He arranged for us to have inroom massages and we talked to the wee hours of the night. He respected my wishes to save myself until marriage (and since I was just a teeny bit tipsy from all the catpagne we were drinking) he left and went home leaving me to enjoy the suite for the night. The next morning, knowing that his brother was taking me to the zoo and having a picnic with me, he gallently ordered breakfast to be served to me in my room and made arrangement for Reggie to pick me up there. Reg came in his restored, fire engine red mustang and off we went to the zoo. while there, we visited some of his distant cousins who had just moved there from Africa and rode the zoo train and had a great picnic even though Reggie ate most of the food. Did I mention that he baked cookies for me himself and picked me a bouquet of flowers from his mother's garden? Well, like I said before he was a little nervous and the cookies were pretty crumbled by the time I got them and it was really hot that day so the flowers were a bit wilted but I had a wonderful time. The next day my friends and I all met and I made my announcement....I chose Reggie to be my furmate and he was so excited he fainted! Don't feel badly for Poe, however, he started putting the make on my friend Fish the very next day and now they are almost an official couple. Life is Good!
