Arrival Story:
I needed a friend for Merlin. He was much better behaved and much happier when he had another cat around. However, he likes to play rough and can be kind of a bully, so I knew I couldn't get just any cat and have it work out.
Then I met my sister's foster cat. She had pulled Molly from a kill shelter in Pittsburgh. Molly had a terrible eye infection that she was in the process of treating, but she had an excellent spirit. Merlin and I spent the holidays with her in 2004, and she just loved him. During my spring break, I made the eight-hour drive down to Pittsburgh to get her, and she has been the perfect friend for Merlin ever since! Her eyes have healed, and she still has a scar on one of her irises, but her vision seems to be fine. I give her an amino acid in some milk every morning to keep her immune system strong, and her infection shows no signs of coming back.
Bio:
Although Molly can be kind of standoffish, she is also one of the few cats I've ever known to actually sit in my lap!
