My Tail of Devotion for Racer

Racer ran away last Sept. 5, 2006 and came back to us on Sept. 14, 2006 at 7am. Racer usually takes his night walks after his dinner and would come back after 30 minutes and would go out again. Racer's last walk is usully at 11pm and would come back on or before 12 midnight. Unfortunately, on Sept. 5, Racer didn't came back. We went searching the whole apartment complex....but, to no avail. The next day, we continue the search with the help of the maintenance people 'coz they know Racer. Still....no Racer. We posted Racer's picture all over the apartment building and the main board.

We kept on praying for Racer's safe return. We know in our heart that Racer is alive, but we just don't know where he is.

On Sept 13 at 11pm, the maintenance manager knocked on our door and he said he saw Racer in the parking lot. We went to the parking lot and Racer was hiding under a car. We went up to him, but he ran to the fence near the 101 freeway and we can't go up the fence. Racer was so near and yet so far that night. The maintenance manager told us that Racer will come back the next day, he told us to put out Racer's food bowl with food outside our doorstep which we did.

Sept. 14 at 7am, we got a call from a neighbor that Racer was inside the vent near the pond. We run to where Racer is and got him back.

Racer is now safe back home....purrr
