Arrival Story:
We adopted Madre and her brother Padre from the humane association. They were surrendered by their previous owners after 10yrs because they had a baby and Madre was hissing. Padre stopped eating at the shelter and lost 3 pounds, after they were adopted and returned again 6mos later. They had another application and that person didn't show up. I was working at the shelter at that time and took them home to foster that same day. It was a struggle to get Padre to eat, and when they finally settled in I couldn't let them feel abandoned again, so I adopted them 4 mos later.

Bio:
Madre and Padre's teeth were in really bad condition when I adopted them- I got dental work done on both of them and although Padre's teeth were all ok- all Madre's teeth except her 2 lower canines had to be pulled- poor mama!
