Jules Vern

My friends and I are ready to welcome Jules Vern to the bridge. What a better way to honor than being Cat Of The Day on Catster! We know what your going through because my mom had to put me down after I was in pain and so weak.

Life at the Rainbow Bridge

Kitties have been asking me how I'm doing at the rainbow bridge and I'm doing fine. We've had lot's of picnics and parties over here. It's really great they even have a catnip field! I'm getting used to having mommy around but I have friends that always tell me my mommy is doing fine. I've have been spying on the new cat Dakota and boy is he a handful! Sometimes I hear my mom say "Why can't you be more like Brandy?" Even though my mom knows no cat is exactly the same. He's really funny of what I have seen he knocks things down,rips things to shreds,and annoys Carlos all the time! I wonder how it will be if I was there if i would like Dakota or not. Let's get back to the Rainbow bridge. In the beginning when I first arrived everyone was telling me go to this party over by the fish waterfall. I looked forever and STILL couldn't find it! I stopped by a kitty on the way and he said if you imagine it you can go to where ever you want and guess what even though I was late I got to the party!

How I went to the rainbow bridge.

Well I was fine last week all frisky like my normal self and then I started feeling sick on thursday. I wouldn't eat,drink,or move that much. My mommy started noticing it on Friday and made an appointment with the vet. The vet started examining me and when he went to feel my stomach I meowed. He said that there is this thickening that he wants to know what it is. He drew some blood and tested it. He also said I had a slight temp. A few hours later he said that I am FELV+ and I am anemic. my mommy started crying after these horrible news. He gave my mommy two medications. My mommy took me home and I was so weak I couldn't eat my food at all. I was in the same spot for 4 hours doing nothing. My mommy noticed my gums were like a pale white color. My mommy called the vet and told her to take me to the emergency room at once. Thats what we did. The vets took me in the back and were hooking me up. My mommy was talking to the vet and he said that my temperature went up. He was explaining what was happening to me and I was there to spend the night. The next day my family came to visit me but I couldn't be touched because I was in isolation. The vet told my mommy there was a slight chance I would live at this point. I wouldn't eat for them. I was stuck there again another night. The lab results came in and were confirmed that there was cancer eating up my bones. My family said goodbyes to me and I was put to sleep at 7:05pm on February 5, 2007. Now I am with god and all the kitties at the rainbow bridge.
