   Leave a treat for Bliss

Kitty Complexion:

Beating up our male cat! Flipping over and being rubbed on her tummy.

Atari, our other cat... SHE HATES HIM!!!

Favorite Toy:
Hair ties! They make her go crazy!

Favorite Nap Spot:
Under the dining room table.

Favorite Food:
The gravy on wet foods.

When she plays with a toy like a hair tie, she uses her paw to throw it straight up in the air to hit the ceiling in the house! Then she jumps extremely high to catch it.

Arrival Story:
After our first family cat Jazzy passed away at only 5 months old, I was heartbroken. I knew I couldn't replace Jazzy, but my heart would not stop aching and I needed a new baby to focus on. I went to the overcrowded shelter to choose a new kitty. The shelter was swarming with cats in all sizes. Bliss was not the smallest kitten and she looked pretty shabby since she had been turned in as a stray. But as I walked through the room looking at all the cats she kept grabbing my arm through her cage as I would walk by, and her eyes seemed to be begging me to get her out of there. There were many cats I could have adopted that day, but since Bliss was a stray, I would have to wait for several days just in case anyone claimed her. It was a long wait when I was so anxious, but I knew I had to have her. When I went back to the shelter the morning I could adopt her, she was very weak from her spay and looked skinnier than ever. I was so worried since my previous cat had passed away so young. I brought her home and cared for her until she recovered. I spoiled her so rotten that she became a kitty diva!

Bliss was only ten months old when we got another kitty, but by then she was so spoiled that she could not bear it! She has hated her housemate Atari since the day he came into our home. She "hunts" him and since he is not the sharpest tack in the box, she overpowers him with ease, even though he is significantly larger than her. Bliss is so spoiled that she has tons of attitude. She will get up and walk away if you try and pet her unless it is on her terms. When she is looking for attention, she will jump up on you the way a dog does and demands to be picked up. She then purrs rythmically while her belly is rubbed and when she is done she bites your hand to let you know. One very interesting thing about her is that she barely has a voice. She seldom meows, and when she does (usually for wet food) it is a tiny peep of a voice! We have another not-so-nice nickname for her when she is giving us attitude, but we love her dearly and our house would not be the same without her.
